The Most Common Beginner Mistakes to Avoid | NIKKE 2023+ Guide | Cummander Bootcamp Vol. 2

You're about to go past the new player phase, and in order to maintain steady progress and play efficicently, I'm going to go over what the most common beginner mistakes are when playing NIKKE. A big thing to note about power number is that being too far below the number of your enemy applies a very strong debuff to your team, so otherwise "vain upgrades" could actually be worth an investment at crucial junctions in the campaign

I noticed I started hitting a wall around lvl 12-13 of the campaign. Now I'm at 14 and it got slower and harder to progress, as I'm always fairly below the suggested combat power.

@@Shendue you'll pretty much always be below it if you try campaign more often than once a month, it's not a big deal by itself The issue starts when the difference is too high (more than 10-15% of your total power as a rule of thumb for me), then you should to invest into the number. Might need to get the difference even below 10% if units aren't top tier and you don't sweat

Credits is super imp early game due to tactics academy. Battle data is imp to reach lvl 200 therefore mid game. While core dust is super imp late game and beyond. Save your core dust to the max. This cant be stressed enough. Core dust is the key to a very smooth late game. Always save it.

only till lvl 299 red core more important. After lvl300/lvl400 all resources will significantly increase and you will have to farm all the resources. much better clear every event shop except of re-energy so then you would not regret focusing only red core dust

For those who are confused between molds or consoles, it is ideal to buy molds for new players since you will need it to pass the 160 wall. Consoles are good for end game players and whales.

When you get to 290ish+ credit will start being a small issue depending on how often you upgrade your gear/gear level. There’s also a chart out there to showcase outpost milestones that lets you see where you wanna stop and reach for x/ core an hour

Because of the level change to SSRs now being able to hit level 160 without being limit broken, there's no need to level SRs for the Synchro Device first. You can just focus on 5 SSRs if you have them, especially since the upgrade costs don't change between SRs and SSRs.

@@Not-Batman Sorry for the late response. I'll explain this in more detail (incoming essay, whoops). When the game first launched, characters used to only be able to reach level 80 before receiving a Limit Break (a duplicate of the character). 1 Limit Break meant they could hit level 120, 2 Limit Breaks meant level 160, and 3 Limit Breaks meant level 200. SRs are limited to 2 Limit Breaks and SSRs have 3. Due to how much easier it is to receive dupes of SR characters compared to SSR characters, it was recommended for players to limit break and level up 5 SR characters while putting their SSRs into the Synchro Device. That way, even if you only had one copy of a character (which means no limit breaks), their level could go beyond what they were limited to. For example, let's say you pulled Liter one time. Her level would be limited to level 80. But, if you had 5 SRs at their max limit break that were all leveled up to 160, you could put Liter into the Synchro Device to get her level to 160. However, there was a quality of life change made about 6-7 months ago. Now, you no longer need to limit break a character 2 times in order to level them to 160. This goes for both SRs AND SSRs. This means that there is no longer any reason for you to focus on leveling up 5 limit broken SRs first. You can just level the 5 SSRs that you want to use. This saves you 5 Synchro Device slots that would've been taken up by the SSRs you're using and saves you at least 50 Gems from having to reset the levels of any SRs in order to level your SSRs. To put it simply, the same Liter that was pulled before no longer has to go into the Synchro Device to get over level 80. You can level her to 160 with no dupes of her at all. You still need those 3 Limit Breaks in order to level your SSRs to level 200, so it's still pretty common to run into the "level 160 wall". As for upgrade costs, there's no difference in the costs of upgrading an SR compared to an SSR. It will still cost the same amount of credits, battle data, and core dust. TL:DR; Characters used to be limited to level 80 without dupes. Now, they can hit 160 without dupes. Upgrade costs for SRs and SSRs are the same.

One thing that is missed but is also important late game, in game money/credits. This builds up quickly early to mid game, but it is used to level up syncro device, levelling up gear etc. and easily starts becoming scarce. The outpost will generate an ok amount, but when you need over 3 million to level up the device and you can sometimes go up 3 - 4 times during events, you do not make/get enough money to keep up and eventually it will slow you down.

Man. I chose a great time to start my Nikke journey during Swimsuit Anis' banner. I managed to pull both Swimsuit Anis and Scarlet in 30 pulls on my first day.

Unlike most gacha games, I WOULD recommend you spend gems on the currency required to play event missions If an event has a hard mode, or a story 2 hard mode, playing the final repeat chapter like 70 times for the cost of usually like... 4-5 rolls.... extremely worth, especially when that many runs of the stage is more than enough to buy the 10 Limited rolls back from the store + whatever else You can easily buyout the entire store on every event.

Well not the entire store. The only event where I actually bought all the core dust was the Nier one. Usually even when spending gems to get event stamina, you only buy around half of the core dust x30 bundles.

Yep. Though after lvl 200 you can skip past all battle data info so you can save money. Also avoiding re energy is useful.

@@charginginprogresss just clear all the event resources except re-energy. Trust me, you definitely need core dust and 'battle data and credit' at that moment. I already saw few veteran post with lvl 300++ complaining either lack of battle data or credits. Even my irl friend with lvl 270++ nikke already started have lack of credit and battle data while I just enter lvl 261 threshold still got plenty resources available. Although I only clear using free event token while he used few gems to gain more attempts only to hoard the red core but abandon other resource crates. Even core dust easy to obtain now since challenge after stage 9 in every events already give plenty of core dust.

atm i regret also doing exchange boxes for other things as core dust boxes. But u can also argue that bcs u did exchange for data sets or even credits, that u did progress faster, you used to be able to farm T9 equipment earlier, be able to defeat stages earlier, lvl up the outpost could level faster, etc. wich helped you progress even faster to 200

As a end game player, u do need a fair bit of credit resource. At lvl 300, u will start to see ur credit deplete faster than u can save when upgrading the device.

Actually, they removed part of the 160 wall. Now every SR or SSR nikke with 0 stars can be upgraded to 160 with no problem. So you now can upgrade whoever you want (you will probably still need to reset levels anyway, because there is a high chance of upgrading an SSR character that will not get 3* any time soon) Also i consider myself to level up skills at least to lvl3, because it is lvl4 that costs a lot. Upgrading a skill from 1-3 is only 18 blue mats, and for lvl6 alone you need 126, it's 7 times more. On the other hand, upgrading to lvl4 requires 44 mats, which is already costly

I'd argue if you buy the cheap 30 day pack, you're AT LEAST 144 outpost defense level, and you already have a good main squad, you absolutely should do a 2nd wipe out. This is because at the end of the day, you're trading half a multi - a multi which might not even give you anything worthwhile - for guaranteed vertical progress, which also translates into more gems. It's only worth it at 144 and above though, because not only do you get core dusts, you also get T9 gear possibly, and at worse more fodder to raise your gear level. But hey, that's just imo. Something to consider.

Once your wipe out will reach 100 cores i suggest to wipe 1 time spending 50 gems, this is gonna speed you up in the long run If you are starting now try to reroll for RH (or if you get Modernia/Scarlet while you try to pull for her), her+small snow white can cover everything you need in campain (snow white AoE, RH burst damage to kill fast a target, usually the boss of the stage and in the specific the long range snipers that can be a wall to do while under the cp level), if you get any other of the pilgrim rerun, even harran, with the free SW harran is not needed Put in your wishlist: Elysion Marciana (only healer burst II) Miranda (only burst I for tower) Helm (only healer burst III) Emma (will help in pvp) Flex slot, i suggest D for when you are gonna face moderna in sp if you want, you can switch Emma, D or Helm for Mast & Guillotine to get a core of a good pair but... i don't really like Guillotine as a unit and you can't get 2B, so mast atm loses even more value for a fresh account, Poli it's a better choice for me, her 10 seconds atk% buff it's really good and the her shields will make her a good pick for gravedigger with Guilty so for me, when you get the first copy of a unit (not Marciana, she scale with health and copys of her are good) remove it and place Poli, if you really wanna min max the copys then remove the first two you get and put also Diesel into the mix, she also scales with health and can be used in pvp Arena (and she has a nish use vs mother whale) but i think you will be fine just with Poli, you will not regret her vs gravedigger, i can assure you xd Missilis Liter (one of the best Burst I) Centi (Shield for face oneshot moves, super nice vs chatterbox sp, supreme energy gen, def debuff, one of the best burst II) Jackal (will help you in arena pvp) Tia & Naga (i hate pair units but that's me, they are broken and if you are starting now, put theme in the list) Once you get two of these units, remove it and put there Maxwell and Pepper and you are good to go No Drake? You don't need her, with Noir, Sugar (she will be in the next list) and Guilty you have all the close range units you need No Laplace? You don't really need her at the start if you pulled RH, true that you can't get A2 but this is not a good reason, i usually suggest at max to change only 2 units, mlre changes then that can lead to ruin in breaking the wall, a fine balance to get a copy of a op unit but not sacrifice another that is still good is a nice balance, Pepper is there only bc you get a free privity and she can combo with her, if privity it's not free then don't bother Tetra Blanc & Noir (again, very op and Noir will help you vs gravedigger Dolla & Novel (no, they are not a pair, just two of the best burst II) now, for the last slot pick Sakura, with an invested burst skill she alone is going to carry you vs Train when you are gonna face it in sp When you get your first copy the first two, remove it and put Sugar ajd Volume, the first will help you vs gravesigger in sp and she can enjoy copys, she a carry, the second is needed bc you need at least 3 units with cd No Alice? You got RH, Alice needs too much investment and manual play, if you are starting now, she is not going to help you much, she a unit you wanna get late game to up the game of one of your teams for guild content No Ludmilla? She can go in combo to get you 15 full seconds of total protection with Sakura vs train but she is not really needed if you have a lv10 burst on Sakura, she can help you get tier7 scores but not the full one, don't waste your time on her No Biscuit? She shines most in Arena and Tetra has already too many good units to put, no slot to waste on her No Noice? She needs to i-frame manually and you need to play manually to heal, not really comfy No Rupee? She is a decent dps but she is pretty much outmatched from the utility that other burst II can give the team, don't waste time on her If you wanna spend don't get for the love of god nothing in the shop but the 100 gems every day x 30 days, the first one time every month 20 standard pulls and the first one time 15 current banner pulls (buy this only if you need to pull on the current character or you used your 200 tickets), every other thing is just wasted money, control yourself and be strong, this game is cruel and the grind is real pain, don't spend to speed up the process, you will never win the race, only whales can do that.

Ok some of the beginning info is some what a gamble because I had innocent days Snow White,pirvaty,milk,pepper all at 3 star but I also had poli,diesel,epinel,volume,ludmilla,and novel all at 2 star but left only poli and ludmilla stay there for a while because I thought my chances to get them 3 star was good but no I just had to pull a 3 star frima out of nowhere so just if you have the resources to put a NIKKE at max 200 don’t do anything just wait until you get the 3 star then upgrade immediately so then you can go higher then 200

Molds could get you more units, but that is base on rng, consoles on the other hand increase squads power overall. Re-energy does have cap, when it come to your research.

Iam a mid game player and i have at moment one problem i have 4-6 ssr on 2* and 4 on 3* and 3 of them have at lest core break times 2 because i got them so often und for the hell of it i just dont get a 5th ssr 3* so i can fanlly get from lvl 160 to 200 like i got two of my 4 on 200 already since so i only need to lvl up the one i get to 3* but for 2 whole month no luck

First time i hear that You can refill stamina in fgo with quartz, like i have 800+ gold apples so ive nevera gone low on it's ando sometimes i refill and then just be like "nah i won't play more"
