Playing go on Fox (75#): Gotta stay Positive

In the game vs positive, why couldn't you play R6 --> S6 --> S9 --> S8 --> T8? That seems like you would have won the liberty race. Katago didn't seem to suggest this though so I'm obviously missing smth, but I don't know what.

Wouldn't this result in a big eye after you block at T3? Usually a big eye means lots of liberties. But perhaps it's not enough in this case?

@@GoHermit I think you will find that the eye is not that big after black crawls to S2 (white would collapse). Instead, white would have to answer T2 with S2 and the final result will be a seki (which I couldn't read clearly during byo-yomi). Comparatively it's a bit worse than just playing S2 right away as white.
