Try going slower buddy. U are playing it fast then stoping to do the chord change. If u do the rythm slow, your slow chord change will fit in the whole thing, and it will sound better. The rhythm/speed of the song needs to stay the same during the whole song, it is better if u play really slow and keep the same speed all the time. So you need to adjust the timing of all other things (rhythm in your case) to the timing of the thing you take more time doing (which i think is changing chords in your case). Basically, do it as slow as you can in order for it to be smooth. (Dont be upset cause of that, u sound absolutely incredible for someone who's been playing for only 3 months. You have already beaten the worst, from now on you will evolve really fast)

Dont! picks are for electric guitars. If u wanna enjoy the true beauty of the acoustic guitar, don't use a pick; And if u want to play rock/metal only, buy an eletric guitar.
