Halo CE on Legendary is to this day, the most fair campaign experience of all of the Halo fps games. It actualy reminds me alot of Halo 3's multiplayer in the sense that as long as you know what your doing, you're good at the game, you know which weapons and strategies to use depending on the situation etc etc... you'll be fine. But if you fuck up, or make a mistake, you get punished for it. CE can be played through start to finish on Legendary without dying. You just gotta know what you're doing. Halo 2 on Legendary is quite simply an unbalanced cluster fuck lmao. And Halo 3 on Legendary is kind of a fine mixture of the 2.

Halo ce: perfect balance. Almost every weapon is viable for most scenarios Halo 2: perfect rage sim even with easy headshot weapons Halo 3: toned down halo 2 where more weapons are viable.

Halo CE and Halo 2 on legendary drove me to insanity. They literally take good story missions, spoon feed you aids, naids and pit you against stupidly hard to kill elites. But i class it as a achievement in its self completing them on solo. Also the plasma pistol became my multipurpose multi ranged best friend!.

Yes, CE plasma pistol is the ultimate swisstool. Litterally the best weapon agaisnt everything that is not a vehicule or a hunter.

@Mister Majestic yes Halo 2 tracking is really efficient but the ammount of charge of a plasma pistol in CE is insane. While you can barely kill 4 or 5 elites with a plasma pistol on Halo 4, in CE you can keep your pistol almost until the end of a level and change it to get back ammo when you need to. Also unloaded shots are stupidly powerful in CE. You don’t even have to noob combo, the plasma itself is enought to take down almost any ennemie in a short range.

Rolling Thunder it’s hard but if you slow play it I think it’s doable. Very unlikely but doable. I found Reach to be the hardest legendary campaign overall. 2 is a nightmare for stretches as well..

Now that was an...experience to say the least. Fun but if he had this much difficulty with vanilla CE then I would actually feel bad for putting him through it. Worst nightmare in SPV3 was the honor guard elites when playing through the first time, having no idea until they pop up and frantically throwing all my grenades. I wish SPV3 got more love from youtubers cause there is so much cool stuff in there that would be extremely enjoyable to see others play and experience it.

It was very hard for me on Legendary, so I turned on skulls, Explosive Grunts (they explode when they die), Infinite ammo and grenades, and Extra dialogue. All I can say is that chaos ensued, and I died to many flying exploding dead grunts.

The best weapons for the first half of the game is the Magnum and Plasma Rifle. The Plasma rifle stuns unshielded enemies, which is insanely useful.

Halo CE legendary was great. Only parts that were a pain were the library and beaming up into the huge hanger in the covenant ship. Halo 2 second hangar is a game in itself, especially if you're not a regular or confident FPS player. The trial and error of the jackal sniper positions also was a pain. The hunters were much more difficult to kill also.

I play CE on Legendary for a challenge, so, can't say that I rage too much when playing this. Halo 2 Heroic gave me more trouble, but even then it was more fault on my part than the game actually being tough. The only time I genuinely got mad at Halo 2 is when fighting the Brutes; they just do not want to die sometimes no matter how many times you shoot their skulls.

I started playing Halo MCC on Legendary again. I beat then all on legendary years ago. After Reach, I was like okay, let's do Halo: CE. On mission Truth and Reconciliation after beaming aboard the Covenant ship, I restarted on heroic. Halo Reach and Halo 3 are balanced on legendary difficulty. The rest are just self flagellation.
