I generally put mushroom sauce over my steak as the combination is lovely.. I also like a nice peppercorn sauce on my steak too. but I can take my steak with no sauce and only onions and well coocked flat mushrooms over the top with a little garlic to make the steak more yummy.

Love a spicy marinated steak. One of the best steaks I ever had was marinated in olive and garlic.. Not your standard salt and pepper seasoned steak, but it just elavated it to another level with a nice mushroom sauce side. Other times I just want a nice standard salt and pepper steak with no sauce.

Totally agree about the choice of steak.. With rib eye, you get that bit of fat which renders beautifully. Also the cheesecake.. Any type of cake or pie whatsoever, you should be able to cut a slice that stands up on the plate, not just a pile of rubble. This looks good! Nice one Danny. ⭐👍

I'm not convinced this qualifies as a takeaway. They even had outdoor dining. So the only difference was Danny had his own table and chair. Danny was at a restaurant not a takeaway and I am not surprised they took longer to serve the dessert because that is not how restaurants work. I am surprised they served the Starter and Main together, so they did Danny a favour there. Danny should stick to takeaways and not try going "posh" because it does not work.

First impressions of restaurant and food were similar. Trying to punch above its weight. Starter looked a bit boring, chips defo pre cut oven or similar (come on!!) . Fried onions on top of steak.. a bit tacky. As Fanny said a nice bit of steak, it was a bit. Again in my opinion good cuts of meat like rib-eyes need leaving alone bar seasoning and a separate sauce. Staff nice and keen. Desserts from a wholesaler's frozen? Sit in price OK, takeaway.....give me a donor please love, extra chilli 😁

Danny I am from Middlesbrough but live in Texas I was home last month so I visited Whitby for some fish & Chips, MAGGIES, I must be honest very very disappointed the best place in Whitby for Fish & Chips after trying about 6 is 100%TRENCHERS. The BEST in England is in Middlesbrough call Croft on Croft AVE.
