I can relate to the sheep noises changing and knowing something is up. My friend from Ireland had just come in from doing chores for me(my Christmas present) and I heard the bahs of what I think of as"look the gates open" . Sure enough the gate was not secured properly and the sheep were spilling out of the opening and Zorra(my Corgi) and I were out the front door to convince the group this was not the right move. Luckily , it worked and I yelled at them" Hey what are guys doing". They looked at me, Zorra and headed back through the gate. My friend said "how did you know they were breaking out?" I told her it is the tone and timber of the bahs. When they have found something good in the field to eat I hear the same bahs. Love seeing other women working with sheep you are awesome!

Good Morning Sandy - When I retired I started volunteering at our county History Center. I have learned the importance of saving materials devoted to a specific topic. In years to come people will be wondering about life in year 2023 - how many sheep did Grandma raise, what did she feed them, could she really drive a tractor, did she really climb all the way to the roof to fix something, did she love her work, etc. People get so excited when stories concerning their ancestor's is found. When the US celebrated the Centennial the counties were encouraged to publish a book on history of each family living there. This was accomplished with great success. These books are huge and filled with information and continue to be sought after. Sometimes a second book was published to complete the history of the area. So, what I am building up to is this - You have wonderful video's that tells your story of life in Ontario raising sheep, your husband's work with sustainable crops, and your son and daughter. I hope these videos are archived for the future use. When my father died he progressed through farming with horses to tractors, installing electricity on the farm, milking cows by hand to milking machines, etc. People love these stories. So, I hope you can safely save the material you are documenting. Not only are you educating the current population but also the future. Don't sell yourself short. You have wonderful, informative, actual lived experiences to share. You live in a very progressive area with many talented people. Don't lose your history. It's too important. Stay safe - Phyllis

I agree whole heartedly. A lot of my family history was lost because my grandfather and his brother ran away when they were young teens and refused to tell thier history. All we know is thier father remarried after his wife died and the stepmother was mean to the two boys and they ran away and refused to talk about it. So we don't know anything. Granddad and his brother changed thier name so we can't trace them. Both passed away years ago. You do such a good job , love you.

Another breeding, which will eventually lead to sleepless nights for Sandi! All part of the job!!!! I'm so excited to see how Willow makes out as a Mom. And yes, she is so tiny compared to the other ewes. It's also neat watching the interactions (sans actual act of breeding) between the ewes and rams ... easy to tell 'em apart when the rams aren't sheared. I always enjoy it when you clean out a len for some reason ... there's something cathartic about it I guess! 😁 So much to do in farming, whether it be a crop or livestock farming. Love you, carissa, Billy, willow, red, & the brown lamb. Kinsey did so good helping you today, she had so much energy it's good to channel it moving the sheep. Still she runs around and around always keeping you in her sight. Lucy loves her naps.

I know nothing about farming, have never lived on nor near a farm...but I love watching your videos. Something about the darling lambs & your happy, loving personality as you care for them makes for happy viewing.

Couldn't help bit smile when you went into the bottle baby pen they were all round your feet but once you started giving the boosters they clocked on and went as far away from you as they could.

When describing the boys on one side and the girls on the other side, reminds me of the middle school dance in the gymnasium, it was always just like that to start off way back when.. 🤣😂

I am a Retired Nurse and I am so glad that you explained the Breeding Groups. I have been wondering if you got new Sires each time or how you kept the fathers from breeding their daughters.

Those cute little behinds running, hooves sliding around corners...omg I giggled like a crazy person! Then those "innocent" little faces checking Sandi to see how much trouble they were in! Naughty, but cute as can be!❤
