When I got into Minecraft, I was 9, and in elementary school, and when I finally got to play Minecraft with a cracked version it was 1.12 or some and then the computer died and I couldn't play for so long and now that finally have the real deal I felt like I needed to do the good research before playing, also to catch up on everything I missed and that's how I learned of all the difference between Java and Bedrock. So yeah, it's common knowledge, but life is made of periods, and I missed a Minecraft for a long time. Also sorry for exposing my complicated anime backstory for 2 episodes straight, we'll make up for that with a Bed Wars.

Bedrock also has more changes than just drowned swimming and shifting to use shields. In snow biomes, leaves turn white when left out in the snow and armor stands have arms.

The lag is due to vsync being enabled. There isn’t a way to disable it, but you can turn it off in the config file. Either that, or a resource pack that adds a button.

Bedrock features I like: * tridents and drowns are more common(makes raiding shipwrecks not op) * villages are under strongholds * game runs far better * baby villagers have big heads making them look cuter * world generation exclusives like fallen trees and giant mushrooms in swamps. * cauldron exclusives Java features I like: * no marketplace lmao * better combat system (I like 1.9 combat) * less buggy * iron golem mechanics make more sense although I would like more updates to villagers when it comes to iron golem making * staring directly at Enderman make them stand still. * I personally like the look of vanilla Java over vanilla bedrock

as someone who started minecraft on bedrock, I used to love the pre-1.16 updates they always had new features and the deveopers never f'ed up the game until 1.16.200, bridging broke and renderdragon was introduced. renderdragon was so bad the only way to not use it was by using 1.16.100 or any 32bit version of the game and even 32bit no longer works because after 1.18.12, 32bit uses renderdragon. Renderdragon is the rendering engine used for rtx but causes extreme input delay and lag for even the highest line of gpus, extremely sad about the path mcpe is taking

I’m pretty sure that in bedrock Sometimes the stronghold spawns with no portal. Also strongholds spawn under villages. Also you can put a potion in a cauldron an tip up to 64 arrows of that potion. And other things

As a java player: Bedrock is an absolute BEAST. I was able to run it at a butter smooth 60FPS on an old dell inspiron 7348 with a 4 core i5 on integrated graphics, 8GB Ram running of a 64GB SD card.

Honestly, I think more people need to realize that neither version is, or ever will be perfect. They both have their quirks, and they both have their downsides, but as PonZie stated toward the end of the video, probably the best thing that the two versions can do at this point is to co-exist and learn from each other. Each version will gradually get closer to each other as the years go by, and who knows? Maybe some day Mojang will make one. single. universal. Minecraft... It could explain why they've been working so hard to develop an entire universal API for both versions in the form of Datapacks (on Java) and Behavior Packs (on Bedrock), to make modding that much easier for the entire community as a whole, and to give both the modding and Addon communities a sort of universal system that they can both use simultaneously! I'm rambling, but my point is that I really wish more people would stop hating the version they don't play, and instead start trying to nudge the two versions closer and closer until hopefully one day they can become one version!... No Java. No Bedrock. Just. ~ Minecraft ~

One of the biggest problem with bedrock edition is that the translating between java and bedrock are different. I am used to the java edition and the items’ name being different in bedrock makes it hard especially to play in creative mode. Other than that, there is something about the gameplay that i don’t know what but it feels not really good to play bedrock on pc. I really dk what it is but something is off.

I played bedrock for the most of my minecraft gaming experience. I have played Java alot. I just wanna say, I think bedrock might be better, now, hear me out. First, Aternos needed for multiplayer? *N A H.* just make a multiplayer world! And you don't need a server software for the game to run good. If you use full vanilla you can get up to 60 frames with extremely minimal server lag. And also you start out with servers and stuff. Even the hive may agree with me. Because it's cheaper to run a 30000 people server on bedrock than a 3000 people server on Java. (I think.) Also marketplace. Some may think it's trash but. It let's creators actually get. Money for making skins. Worlds. Texture packs instead of making stuff for free. Also, if you're a command geek, (no offense to those who might because you can't handle a joke) commands are simpler. And with the new mc addons manager coming to xbox and pc you'll be able to get a java texture pack on mcpedl. Okay. Thats it for my rant.

Bedrock is very optimised and runs fantastically on weak hardware. The problem I had with the game is this "delay" that you mentioned. It's caused by v-sync that you could turn off in game text file and everything worked fine until... ...Until they updated the engine to "Render Dragon" and messed the v-sync again and people couldn't switch it off. This little flaw made bedrock unplayable to me. I dont know if they fixed it now.
