Imo I think Mojang needs to take a step back and be more like terraria with its next couple of updates In the sense that they should remake/add structures to explore and have boss fights and things of that nature to spice things up for more casual players.
@flowstatevideo8 ай бұрын
If they kept the additions simple I think it could work, Terraria is def more fantasy and action packed. It's a different vibe.

@viper_exe_8 ай бұрын
honestly, i wish mojang would overhaul mobs and ai +add new nightime mobs. Hostile mobs right now are more like pests that just get in the way rather than an actual challenge. They don't synergise with each other or have interesting dynamics when grouped up that makes a fight more interesting. Like if endermen could teleport mobs to you at night, or if there were more mobs like the evoker and illusioners that spawn on the surface. Mob ai in general is just awful, almost every mob in the game feels like a statue or slab of meat that just sits around, and I hate it.

I've always wondered why old minecraft has that feeling that is so hard to explain atleast for me for the past years, only until recently I was able to pinpoint what it is, but first of all, minecraft for me now represents time. A time wherein everything was still so simple, a time wherein the only problems I had was to figure out what to eat by dinner, always drink water and be mindful enough so I wont be holding my pee for a long time cuz I was so absorb in the game. Those things represents the time and a state of mind I had when I was younger, in fact for all of us, we were all once was kids. exploring this vast, vast blocky world. I find it mesmerizing that the closest thing I could now compare DH was the fog on older versions, theyre the complete opposite but it took me a while to figure out why but now I knew it. It was the mystery the fog creates. The fog creates this illusion of these unending world just waiting to be discovered. Now this, Distant Horizons gives the complete opposite of it, maybe a more grown up approach to it, it gives and provides the realization of just how vast the world is. You see, for me its like a representation of a kid growing up. when you were a kid, you had all this time to exists in a world you created yourself, thats why the fog works. But as you grew up, you have more things you carry, your responsibility increases, and you no longer have that much time to sink in to it without it fading out and realizing you have other shit to do. Time is now a luxury for us. But at the end of the day, it was still the mystery that gives us meaning. to live. I guess thats also where the saying "Ignorance is bliss" came from, sometimes its so uplifting or at the very least its weightless and effortless existing without knowing anything, without a care in the world, like a kid just walking on a foggy blocky world. where just existing is more than enough of a reason to live.

Hey Flow, I just found your channel not long ago and I think this brings a breath of fresh air to Minecraft. When you said that you were concerned about someone else being in the world and about horror games being comedic with jumpscares, it made me think that there's a few mods that could add the horror aspects that people felt as kids back to minecraft (without ruining its awe). I'd recommend two simple mods which are Hardcore darkness (optional) and From The Fog (not the modpack, just the original mod). You can set the Herobrine spawn rates to incredibly low settings so that he has minimal impact on your gameplay experience (if he can be added to this version). I think it'd be interesting to have those very rare moments where you start to figure out you're not alone in this world... Regardless if you do it or not, I'll still enjoy this series and wish you the best with the future :)

When I was a wee lad, my first time experiencing Minecraft was on my PS3 watching my older brother and sister play. I remember 2 distinct things from back then. - - - - - - - - - I would always go and play on the tutorial mode as I didn’t know how to play survival or creative yet. Usually I’d get stuck on the tutorials and not know what to do, but then I discovered creative mode and just flew around exploring the tutorial maps. The maps were so good, I remember my older siblings saying that they built the mountain village map, funnily enough I believed it back then LOL. - - - - - - - - - My next memory takes place a few years later. Me and my little sister had a amazing creative world we played in because we were absolutely terrified of playing survival. This creative world had everything you’d expect, random buildings made of ore blocks, diamond and gold blocks, etc. a random McDonald’s built in it, a super market with a little note block thing in front of it, and lots of railways and roller coasters! I pretty much built everything while my sister built a few things.

About the game mechanic of the ocean monument jump scare, I’d like to say that they actually didn’t intend for it to be a “jump scare” per say and that it was only meant to be a visual indication of when you got mining fatigue, but they accidentally made it a jump scare for a lot of people but decided to leave it in because it was funny. Also the reason why most jump scares feel so cheap is because there is usually little to no buildup for them in most horror games, but when there is good buildup then a jump scare can be really good.
