Playing my NOVA DRUM - D Celtic & C Golden Gate

Hello, Thank you for playing the tongue drums. I ordered a drum from another maker but it was not the right tune for my brain, then I found Nova drum and had contacted the owner to buy one drum with a 432 hz. But is nice to her the drum aside from the maker. The D Celtic is in resonance with me brain!

Haha I tune mine to 432 too! When I started listening to these tongue drums or whatever you call them I was hooked. Apparently they’re rather new for an instrument, like 2007 the first one was made, which is kinda crazy cause they have such an awesome sound. Thanks for checking it out!

I'm looking to get the D Celtic for myself, but I'm curious about the pickup you have. It seems it doesn't come as an option with the NovaDrum? Did you have it installed after receiving it?

They installed it for me before sending me the drum. I can’t remember how much extra I paid but it wasn’t too much.

Been considering getting one of these. Thanks for sharing the video. Did you have them install a pickup, or are you using a contact pickup you added? Couldn't quite tell from the video.

I had them install one. They charged an extra $50. Sounds good so far for recording and such, but haven’t got it hooked up to a bass amp yet like I intended. Hopefully soon :)

Love listening to you play! I just got my Nova drum and can't quite get the finger action to really make the notes clear. Any suggestions or tips?

Thank you! They sound amazing don’t they?! I think just trying different techniques till you get it sounding right.. stiff but loose wrist, almost like you just touched a hot stove..

How is it both D Celtic and c golden? meaning is it tuned both?.same drum or 2 different drums? sounds beautiful and I want to understand the turning bc it makes a big difference from one to another..thank you!!
