My expectations were bit higher. It would be amazing if it was any new scary map like we play Manhunt map since 2019. Good improvement however.

Idk. Manhunt is cool for the lore aspect, but personally I don't think it is the best casual experience either. You are gonna have a blast playing it with friends, but yk, anything is fun if you play it with the right people. I think tons of people in the community like the format and I understand why devs don't want to change it too much, because there is obviously people excited for this exact gamemode coming back. I think putting more of a spin on it, with coalition actually having an objective to complete instead of just sitting out the time in a corner, would be cool, but as I said, it would be silly spending a ton of development time on this, when first of all, the game has other issues, and second, the current mode might be exactly what the mode's core audience wanted. Look, if they made this the best event ever, imagine map changes based on timer with some cool gimmick, the zombie has some unique properties as well, perhaps even an ability of some kind, there'd obviously still be the Manhunt Crowd enjoying the mode all the same, but there would also be the comp side of the game (sometimes rightfully) pointing out heaps of issues which haven't been fixed yet. So in short, if they put a ton of time into improving this mode, people would complain and if they don't, people also complain. so.. yea

meh.. idk there are some bits that I am very nostalgic about, but first of all, there are a ton of quality of life features from today that I wouldnt want to miss and second, I am in the very priviliged position to get a few more numbers with updates and I occasionally get to be part of testing sessions. 2018's gameplay was amazing fir the time and in some means certainly superior to its current day counterpart, but air strafing was nonexistant, smokes were odd and unreliable, frag grenades were insanely powerful and so many other aspects of the game would be very dated now. Should current devs perhaps go back to the roots in regards to how certain gameplay elements are balanced? Certainly Should they try to recreate 2018's game in place of today's? Absolutely not. Nostalgia is strong and selectively remembering the upsides of something, ignoring the downsides is a common fallacy and I dont blame you, but this is not the best hill to die on..
