I would imagine the mana base is probably the main consideration. Not having a lot of dual lands makes it less likely you will have the r/b, and most of the time you have a lot of things you want to do with red mana, ie looting. Edit: Don't know if doomblade is better or worse, it seems like something you really need to play test to figure out which works better.

I think this deck should cut the Radiant Fountains and play a few Ash Barrens. Even if you're trying to minimize tapped lands, Ash Barrens doesn't really count. You get the color you need untapped, or an untapped colorless land if you really need it.

This deck has it all! It's blazing fast, it's got this wombo combo action going on, it plays plenty of answers, and you win by punching your opponent in the face with a giant dude. It's got a little bit of aggro, combo, and control for every type of player. What's not to like?

I would add 2 ash barrens over the radiant fountain. I've found that playing more than 1 or 2 bounce lands can lead to very awkward 7s where you have 2 lands but they're both bounce lands. My general rule is if you have fewer than 22-23 lands, don't play more than one bounce land.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but the second match of the mirror. Couldn't Seth have played his spellbomb, put exhume on the stack, sacced and pitched his crusher. His opponent then gets priority. Part of activation of neonates ability is to discard a card (it'd have to be crusher, if he wanted to reanimate it) then Seth could have cracked the bomb before the exhume resolved? That would have put his opponent in a lose lose, rather then giving him the chance to discard the crusher in response. I think you got a bit to trigger happy with your spellbomb Seth!

You shouldn’t play all your lands in a deck with lootings. You can discard them to find combo pieces and you anyways do not need more than 3/4 lands in play to work

Joods Feliciano when multiple triggers are placed on the stack from multiple players, they are placed active player first, then non active player (aka if it is your turn yours goes on first, then opponent's on top) and then the triggers resolve from the top down, so theirs will resolve first.

I have a question concerning a play. At 53:02 is it possible to just cast exhume after exiling our opponents graveyard? He responds with nihil spellbomb to our exhume to exile our graveyard, we let that resolve and then respond with a neonate to discard another crusher. Does that work?

Funny enough i play a GB version of eldrazi reanimator since innistrad gave alot of tools for it plus have Dredge cards like golgari brownscale. Tried it as BUG but i found it easier with two color. I might have to give this BR version a go though, need Angler and that other eldrazi.

Cuddle Queen unless im mistaken he could have and should have but he just let it go because it didnt occur to him it could go to an opponent. If he had realized it, he could have just exercised the "may" clause and not returned it to his opponent and just waited for the trigger on his own creature. I dont use mtgo so im not sure its even clear where the trigger was going

I'm a big fan of this deck. Appreciate your video. A few tweaks I made slow down the deck in favor of consistency. tappedout.net/mtg-decks/red-dredge-4/ Not sure the trade-off is worth it, but I like the deck much more this way: 1. More Dual lands. Pauper has a direct trade-off between speed and consistency, as every dual land costs one mana one way or another. 2. 4 gurmag instead of Devastator. Because I'm less explosive, I prefer to have a more consistent threat. If you don't plan on winning very early, this puts a lot of pressure on your exhumes. 3. Putrid Imp over Neonate. I only play 2 and often side them out, but I like that imp leaves around fodder for edicts 4. no cathartic reunions, 4x tormenting voice. Reunion is a swingy card, and I play vs so much control, I'd rather have less win-or-lose moments around my loot spell. 5. more dragon enchantments. There is so much removal in the format, I want to make sure I get an attack in.
