On the last game, when you played 2 broodscales, you could've played only one and adapted, playing around the second glee/a removal spell. That way you would've kept one broodscale in hand, and would have made infinite blockers on your turn. then you would both be on topdeck mode, but attacks wouldn't matter anymore.

The way to beat the curse is not using makeshift but some variation of impact tremors Because regardless of active/nonactive player, sacrificing to ping with makeshift will trigger your glee which will then put a new spawn into play and drain you all before the activated ability resolves

Have you ever played a deck with cleansing wildfire and geomancers gambit both? Its really good when paired with indestructible lands, as you just ramp and draw a card. Gambit is slightly worse but still does it. Its really good in midrange control decks that have sweepers and can use the mana ramp into big payoffs. I played it in jeskai control and it was pretty good, i used it to ramp into Ugin planeswalker and used counters and bolts to clear board. I wonder if its good in pauper too. The package is 4 cleansing wildfire, 4 geomancers gambit, 8-12 indestructible lands. Its can go into any deck and its good ramp and card draw in red colors.

Unfortunately you cannot combo through curse with munitions specifically, unless you happen to have (life total) creatures/artifacts lying around. in order to kill with munitions through curse, you have to sacrifice your own lizard so that your glee triggers don't go on top of your munitions activation. this means the bottleneck is your fodder for munitions. you need to go spawn positive with 2x glee, but you can't get to the second glee trigger without letting their curse resolve, since it is triggering at a different time than the glee is. if you have a triggered way to damage them (kill on their turn due to APNAP like you were thinking) or a mana dump that doesn't need a sacrifice (this works on your turn), then you can kill through it.
