To this day it boggles my mind why there are still people who say Lawbringer is a "Pretty Good" character. They literally dont even play him if they say that.

He's a defensive character. I'm tired of hearing stuff like this. Lawbringer is actually not bad of a duelist. Nearly unpunishable shove, unreactable in chain, and his OOS punishes are absurd. Getting a heavy off EVERY parry is VERY good, especially since it stuns and has frame advantage with multiple mixup potentials. Just because you can't slam your head against the controller with him doesn't mean he isn't good.

As someone who has put 70 reps on Lawbringer, I can say that I can win with him. However, his move set can be negated by several characters, specifically the ones that can keep distance. Of course, his parry punishes are overturned, I would agree there, but that is because of his dumb play style. I personally don’t like playing like a statue, but obviously he really gains power from just parrying. His dodge bash kinda sucks, but sometimes it can bounce heavy feint to gb. It isn’t an ultra safe bash since anyone with a dodge bash that guarantees damage can counter it. For people who hate it, maybe don’t dodge attack at it? His recovery times on all his attacks are flat out stupid. If you whiff you will probably get hit with a heavy or just get interrupted. Long arm is OP of course. If you even want to attack an opponent with stamina, you have to throw a heavy and pray or keep feinting to neutral lest you want to risk being light parried. His top heavy finisher and chain is slow and has strange tracking and can be interrupted easily. Doesn’t matter if he feints it or not, I’m pretty sure you can just light him; although, I may just be bad and need to git gud. Hell, I’ve bounced off of so many top heavies trying to feint that thing into guardbreak. His zone eats through his stam like an American mag dumping an M16 in the name of freedom. Even his zone riposte which is very circumstantial in duels chews through his stamina like crazy. Okay now his parry punishes. Yes, most of them give him a heavy and in most cases a top heavy, but that’s when he goes for impale or gets a light parry. If he does the Ad mortem riposte, just dodge and don’t eat a bash and get lighted. It’s recovery is so bad that he won’t GB you if he doesn’t throw out the light or bash. His light riposte is something, I suppose he can throw out 2 lights in a row with it. Know that it catches dodge attacks with top light, but can be blocked. I’m not entirely sure, but I think you can just dodge out of it if you block top. After landing most of these he’ll likely get into his finisher heavies. His finishers are quick, but when dodged he will have a 🗿 moment since now he can let you GB him or dodge his reactable bash. When he lands it though, it can be very frustrating for the opponent since now they can either dodge and risk a GB, a heavy, or a 40 stamina damage longarm, or they could dodge attack it and risk getting parried or potentially getting hit by that heavy if you’re playing an older character with poor dodge frames. I’m ranting now so none of this seems to make any coherent sense. To end this off, Lawbringer main tool for winning is letting people who love offense runs into his defense. The moment people stare at him or force him to make mistakes (which is very easy) he will lose. It won’t be fun though. Long story short, he’s bad in regards to fun on both sides. He’s good if you play like an ass. Which is why people want him revamped or reworked. He doesn’t need a buff and he certainly doesn’t need a nerf. He needs to be different. Side note: A lot of people who don’t play him hate playing him since they aren’t used to having such shit offense compared to everyone else’s.
