Muscles aren't relevant for his position. Quick acceleration and stamina, general sharpness like he mentioned is so so important. I found this recently when I didn't play for four months because of stupid work hours, and whilst going to the gym, I was so unfit. It's so underrated the fitness side of it.

This is a very inspirational video for me.Last year I was playing Premier soccer at the #2 ranked team in my state. I’m from the US and we don’t have any non-league teams we just have recreational (Sunday league) competitive travel (almost like Sunday league but you travel to other towns) and premier (you travel to other states). Anyway I was playing for this team and I started the season well scoring 8 goals in 9 games but then all of the sudden the coach stopped playing me and my confidence dropped. I didn’t score any more goals for the remaining games of the season and when tryouts came at the end of the season I was cut from the team. I was so disappointed and I knew I was better than some of the other players on the team. Now I have found a new premier team and it has been going pretty well. My coach started playing me at center back even though I’m normally a winger. Anyway this video just reminds me a lot of my experience with soccer and for anyone else out there struggling with stuff like this, find a team where you can play like yourself and have a good time because in the end, that is what the game is about.

Still play semi-pro football. It'll be Romford's loss if you go and have trials for other teams at the same level or maybe a division down. Semi-pro, even at level 9 or 10 is still an incredibly high level for the normal person. It'd be cool to see you get weekly game time at whatever club. Even at the qualifying rounds, playing the FA Cup is special and an utter privilege, so hopefully you can do that again.

There’s a huge gap between being good at Sunday League football and being good at Semi-Pro football. The standard in terms of quality and fitness is miles apart. No excuses, there must be a reason they didn’t play you much/dropped you indefinitely!
