New to the sport kinda , about to be a year coming up soon and only played two events , when I joined I jumped straight into d5 and now we are d4 this szn , it’s crazy how far I have let my athleticism carry my skills , but now I gotta acutally start winning some gunfights in order to move farther up in the division

This is actually detracts from your team, it leads to a false sense of superior skill you do not have. It might be able to win some gun fights and some games but it gives you players a false sense of skill they don’t actually possess. We did this early back in the day. It did not help. It helps them because they are experimenting while you are trying to bring your A game with every trigger pull. Sticking to team only practices and drill skills like bringing your gun up too sweet spot, and wind sprints helped more than scrimmaging the world champs. Everyone thought they were killers…. And then got bitch slapped by a no name rookie team. And ended up missing the finals. Everyone thought because we played the best we were just as good…. We were wrong. Grinding and winning trophies consistently and working on team work in private practice was more helpful and cheaper than traveling to get stomped on. We went to Cup and took Third by constantly grinding together. After Cup we started to scrimmage big name teams and our team confidence went into the stratosphere and our teamwork compatibility went into the toilet. Everyone of us was convince we could win the game by ourselves, by trying to play “proball” in stead of playing our own game.
@MattTheGymRat2 ай бұрын
I disagree. Thats a mindset thing. If you're smart you find what works and learn from losing to these teams. No false sense if you understand what the practice is. You never get better if you don't challenge yourself.
@BrandonMCDonald-x3f2 ай бұрын
You have to bring your A game, they don’t sadly. You are getting play from them that isn’t consistent, they aren’t playing you like they are at Cup in the finals. It made everyone complacent with trying to play like them. Everyone thought I am winning gun battle with world cup champs. We grew more as a team before we started scrimmaging World Cup level players. You skills as a team grew winning trophies together. Not by scrimmaging pro-level players. The skill we gained came of hours of practice even at home away from the field. All it does is pad your ego at this point. Sooner or late comes burn out… be ready for that. That happens when you grind you body down to the nub and have nothing to show for it. And you ask yourself some really harsh questions. It depends on how much you love the game with determine if you come back…. And when you do it’s hard to compete with feeling like $#!+. You will rediscover the fun of the game or never pick up a marker and put on a mask ever again.
