@@Speednote10you don't really need to be those these days especially because the LaFerrari has ended prodution years ago and the way you can buy them is through 3rd-party dealers or owners themselves which doesn't require the blessings or allocation of Ferrari, exemption being ferrari dealers themselves selling used Laf's but I think you can get away with being a normal rich person also these days.

I love how you can go on and on about this hobby so eloquently. I share the same thoughts you had on the different brands. The Ferrari experience is just a little more direct with the brand. You get on the hamster wheel and you will be offered the new models. With Porsche and others, not really. I'm sad about Porsche especially because they make such great cars and have many interesting limited production models but good luck getting an allocation. Tim….Im too old to try to copy what you do and now it is impossible to catch up but I do admire your honesty and ability to explain just how to obtain and enjoy these cars. I have had a lifetime of cars and started out experiencing Pre War stuff when it was old and tired junk…not by owning it but being surrounded by the cars of my Dad’s friends. I have seen the entire World of motoring change and now we have new challenges and cars beyond the imagination of anybody even thirty years ago. That you can experience so many super cars that few will ever ride in let alone drive, is remarkable but I fear your motoring future is going to be a tangled picture…I don’t know where it is going. Now for me…I can buy a Porsche but my wife’s mobility means only a Macan or Cayenne will work. I can buy a Roma…but she cannot get in one so that kills Ferrari and no, a Purosangue is just impossible to buy! There are loads of cars but age and growing infirmity of family and oneself means….you cannot buy what you WANT but what life lets you have. So Tim…keep buying these dream bars, keep sharing them with us and I’ll go away and configure a GTS with air suspension and comfort seats…..that’s not too bad I think!! 😃😃😃😃😅

Well…sort of. As a collector with many Ferrari’s (currently a Classiche 308, Portofino M, Purosangue, F8, SF90 AF spider, 812 GTS, 296 GTS and SF90 XX coming) there is certainly truth to “having to buy.” To get VS and/or limited cars you HAVE to buy and hold cars. Tim knows his SF90 must be held until the XX arrives. So, while you buy because you love the brand…in order to collect, you have to buy what’s offered. But, the Ferrari experience is certainly addicting😉

I don't understand why people complain about how these car manufacturers choose the customers for selling their limited cars to... Of course they will offer their limited cars to the loyal and wealthy clients and from what Tim explained, the system Ferrari has, seems quite fair. Anyway, congratulations to the allocation for the SF90XX and your beautiful car line up. To be honest, i was never a big Ferrari fan, but they grow on me, first they look amazing and the history of Ferrari is quite impressive as well. For me your Ferrari line up makes sense, since you have 3 completely different engines in your Ferraris, so just from this, the experience is already so much different. I hope you'll be able to keep this line up for a long time and add the Roma and SF90XX to it instead having one replaced.

Great comments on ‘the game’ … I personally changed from a Porsche guy to a Ferrari guy … based on two things …. 1. It’s the passion and excitement of the brand …. Ferrari creates an excitement inside …. A passion …. Porsche is clinical but almost boringly perfect ….. but 2. ‘The game’…. All I wanted was a GT3 or GT3rs to drive … you know, to enjoy that perfection ….. but no …. Not a chance …. The Dealer Principle got the first one for his collection and the Rich ‘flippers’ got the others …. No doubt giving 1/2+the profit back to the dealership …. It stank ….. and my custom went elsewhere because of that ….. Funny thing is I’d have paid Porsche the flippers money for their amazing cars, but I’m not gonna line the flippers pockets !!! And just a shout out to……Ferrari Scuderia 16m …..honestly ….. best car Ferrari ever made … (except F40, F50, Enzo and 250) …… noise, handling, perfect power, analogue but modern, n/a, 499 worldwide, Schumacher inspired, steering and feel and my god …. That single clutch gearbox … it’s as fast as a duel clutch but the feel of a manual ……

To me I think everything you said with the chicken and egg concept was truly spot on, and to be frank Everyone has different tastes and to be honest I would take that 296 GTS over the sf and people will think I’m crazy for saying that but I just LOVE the lines and that rosso Dino orange spec with the grey leather and that blacked out rear bonnet and powered back window that has the vintage look to it from the rear are just so freakin sexy to me that if I had to pick that would be my Ferrari. And yes it’s slower and significantly less expensive than the sf90 but idc and I think you kind of hinted towards that concept that it’s about the brand and cherishing it and also personalizing the hell out of the spec if you have the opportunity to and make it unique and your own. I think your gts is just sexy man! Lol I’m in love with that car.

First, I love Tim. Truly one of the best KZbinrs on the platform and what you have done is insane. So much respect. My only negative about the Shmee collection is there are just so many. I love every one of those cars and what you've done is awesome, it can be crappy though if they alot of them sit for long periods and dont get used properly. I look at him and Hoovie, who I both love and their taste is awesome - it just sucks because so many just sit for long periods of time and dont get to run and drive properly. However, I know Shmee appreciates and probably everything gets driven way more than most of these hypercar collectors, so thats why its still awesome.

I still struggle to get my head round the concept of being classified as privileged to spend huge amounts of money on a new car. However, I do understand the reason that top marques want to stop people from taking advantage of limited supply and making money off them. It will be interesting to know if this changes with the move to alternative technologies, or makes 2nd hand prices even more extreme. The issue I have, and Jayem explained, is that many super cars and sought after models will become too expensive for the masses and will sit in garages appreciating, rather than being driven.

Every dealership plays “the game” they have their top clients who have bought plenty of cars and were a pleasure to work with and so of course a business is going to reach out to these people first as they have treated them well in the past and it’s only respectful to offer your best customers the best stuff first 🤷🏼‍♂️ if you want a XX and aren’t close you can still get one, you’ll just have to pay the premium for it which is honestly less than buying all the cars that require you to get there in the first place

Maybe the least used so far, but IMO, the best looking Ferrari of the bunch, and perhaps the best looking car, period, in the entire garage! To my eyes, with the exception perhaps of some Gordon Murray unobtainables or rare hypercars, the most visually appealing car on sale today.

You've already got the allocation to the Ferrari SF90 XX. So no need to lay it ultra-thick that you love Ferraris. I'm sure they already know. Kidding. 😁😁 Congratulations again for getting an allocation to an exclusive Ferrari. Looking forward to your spec and pick up day.

Tim, as always your YT channel is among the very best on the entire internet, I simply love it. But….now please don’t take offense to what I’m about to express and I also know all the Shmeebites out there may throw hate my way, but please hear me out as this is just one simple man’s opinion/view. Your collection is simply fantastic 👍🏻 However, none of your cars have a, “soul.” Now please allow me to explain. There is no other way to put it but to be blunt, I know you are a self-made man and for that I have the highest respect for you, but you have a rich boys collection. Basically most are modern cars, that are flawless, perfect and basically they drive you, you’re not really driving them. Don’t be offended, but if you don’t own at least 1 car that is at least 15 to 20 years old or even older, you’re just a passenger in your car. For a car to have a soul it needs to be one that has been around for a long time, 15, 20, 30, 40 even 50 years old. Cars that were around before you were even born!Sure the cars you have are exotic to look at, but they don’t have the history, style, beauty, imperfections, temperament and the patina of a classic car. As a true car aficionado that you are, you need at least 1 true classic in your collection. Something that really tugs the strings of your heart and soul when you drive it. Something that you just don’t flick a fancy carbon fiber paddle back to shift into gear something that when you’re done driving it you are exhausted because you drove it, It did not drive you! Just give it some thought, take on the challenge, purchase something older than anything else in your collection, much older and of course, worthy of the Shmee Collection…perhaps a classic Ferrari? 512BBi? Daytona? Or maybe a 355? 😉

@@amarjit_singh_if you just compare them by history and model range of course Ferrari wins everytime because Lamborghini has always had such a small lineup and a tough time growing economically till recently. However it’s not always just who is best, when you compare it car vs car that’s when personal preference can take hold and a lot of people just prefer the looks or feel of a Lamborghini over a Ferrari or vice versa.

You are so lively and knowledge of these cars is 2nd to none. Watching you is always informative and entertaining. You are aware, that you don't need the vignette sticker in the windscreen anymore, don't you? You can get them fully digital. Not sure if the UK offers that, but the ADAC in Germany does. It doesn't cost extra, takes 5 minutes and you're immediately good to go. You can ask for the paper QR code, if you are not fully convinced, that the digital version works. I did that in 2018.

Well explained... even so it doesn't convince me, buying the complete catalog of a brand to access something else is not buying for pleasure, of course no one forces you and even if they are good cars, do you really buy them for your own taste and decision? That leads me to think that you do not own the brands' products but that the brands own you, and personally I do not like that game, although I respect it, everyone decides what they want to play. I would prefer to see more content from other Shmeemobiles with more history, personality and more loved by the community. Cheers!
