Can totally relate. Try this one on for size. I played in a Beatles band that tuned down 1/2 step and another which didn’t. Somehow between sets I must have clicked something on my keyboard to put back to 440 tuning. The bass player counts in and they start Sgt Pepper. When it’s time for me to play the horn solo - yep I’m in natural key and they’re down 1/2-step. I dropped out switched it back and was fine from there but my mind was messed up the next few songs. I think I checked 1000 times between songs the rest of the night
