Playing the Oldest Existing Hole in Championship Golf | TaylorMade Golf

In our first installment of Signature Holes, we head to one of the most historic sites in golf-Prestwick Golf Club.
The par-4 17th hole at Prestwick is world-famous for being the first and original Alps template hole, designed by Old Tom Morris himself.
In this series, ‪@trottiegolf‬ will take you on a tour of some of the most famous and influential golf holes in Scotland. Follow along as Trottie plays the hole, navigating his way off the tee and then up and over the courses' signature feature-the alps-that creates a demanding blind second shot to a green that is protected by a huge sahara bunker.
If you ever get a chance to play this iconic hole, don't forget to ring the bell after to let others know you're clear of the green!

Old Prestwick has the best greens, you'll feel like you can actually read greens properly when you play them, 9 times out of 10 it rolls where you think it will, very little trickery. The design and layout of most of the holes is unlike most other links courses, play it without a caddie the 1st time for the most fun, or if you take yourself too seriously then you'll definitely want a caddie the 1st time you play because you will run up a much higher score than usual for certain, lots of blind shots and easy to get lost on some of the holes...
