Playing the ORIGINAL Death Star in War Thunder (G8N1 Gameplay)

Today we take out the plane that first got the 'death star' name in War Thunder, the G8N1. This was the original bomber that every pilot feared in War Thunder. Back in the day, this was the top dog when it came to bombing in War Thunder, way before the B-29 and Tu-4 were even considered to be added. So, naturally, we're having a chill session today with this OG aircraft.

Its going down the memory lane. Nostalgic. When i first discovered War Thunder, it was all new. Groundbattles and Planes. I ve watched BaronVanGamez, PhlyDaily and Slickboy. The "Mighty Sea Dragon" H6K4 and the legendary Death Star. The mighty G8N1. Long before the TU-4. All these events with Biplanes against G8N1, gunship battles. And after all these years, seeing you flying out the Behemoth is nice.

It’s nice to see gameplay of bombers, I usually only play them when I have over 3Mil just because of their repair costs. But when you do play them, it’s fun to act like a behemoth of the sky and shoot lots of planes down during a match. Last time I played a bomber was a couple months ago, since I’m grinding the German tree. Anyways, always a good video when you post. Keep up the good work!

Tail keeps coming off due to Gaijins fine attention to bomber DM's. Regardless it's a blast seeing these old planes being played again in WT with the insight of someone who remembered how they were. Not what they are now in WT. You've done some absolutely amazing shenanigans here.

Tails became click to snap after helis were introduced. You could give or take shots to the wingtip and it'd break off back there. I miss the days before they turned max level ace bomber crews into ones that would only start firing when targets were within restraining order distance.

While on the subject of bombers, supposedly there were 6-time bomber gunner aces IRL, they were never officially credited. In Eighth Air Force, bombers claimed 6,259 enemy aircraft destroyed, 1,836 probables, and 3,210 damaged. On all counts, the record topped that of the Eighth’s fighter pilots. Other heavy, medium, and light bomber units showed similar records. Haven't done WT bombers all that much, but I get the gunnery thing with it, if enemy fighter is completely still on your monitor, you aim straight at him, maybe a bit of elevation because of shell/bullet drop, if he's going same direction but going faster than you, lead accordingly, etc.
