Doug, Zeus is iconic and a must appearance for every one of your vlogs just like “Kaylah’s Corner” is a must for Ben Deach’s vlog.

You often make a reference to having the correct pot odds or not. Can you go through an example of how you calculate that quickly at the table please? Love your Channel
@dougmccuskerpoker5 ай бұрын
I talk a little bit about this on the next vlog. Basically, I memorize common situations and odds, then calculate if my current price is giving me a “discount”. $200 pot, some bets $50. If I call $50, pot will be $300. If I have 20% equity, my expected return is $60. So I am getting a good price to call. My expected value(ev) is +$10.

With 4 to a flop, when the board pairs, I’m more reluctant to raise all in, lots of low sets could be there. I guess a set would raise turn as the board is straightening

Ironic that you won a hand with that 6-4, playing last week I had 6-4 off in the SB, UTG came in for 3x and a bunch of callers, I'm getting better than 6 to 1 to flick in a call in the SB, so decided I would just see a flop, 587 rainbow. I wasn't able to get it all in, but I did get 3 streets of value from 2 players at the table for a decent pot. One of them was shocked because of my tight image that I would call preflop with just 6-4 off. It was only costing me 5 dollars to call, and unless I smash the flop it's an easy fold.
