Agreed there. I had a gig where I tried to pull of the Bleed vocals in the middle of Superstition, and it didn't go well. We got kicked out

I love that this is showing how music connects people. In every imaginable way. A swedish metal band is quoted in a Stevie Wonder piece by someone who shares his passion via video on the internet so that metal and pop enthusiasts can have a moment together. A blind person would understand this. A deaf person would understand this.

If anything this is just proof that the guitar/bass part is in 4/4 and because of that sounds good over literally anything else that's also in 4 lol.

Nailed it! That was my exact thought. You hear me straighten out the Bassline to open myself for an option and that's the first thing that came to mind. I've thrown everything from Meshuggah to "Rack City" by Tyga in that section or the turnaround section.

@@maffooo2040 Since only the drummer's hands are in 4/4 for most of Bleed and the kick drums, the guitars and the bass are all in some bizzarro 👽 time signature, you could argue that the 4/4 part is the secondary meter and the song actually has changing odd time signatures throughout. It makes more sense that way a lot of the time in my opinion.

Usually stay away from super bright bass tones, but it sounds great here! The high frequencies complement percussive playing really nicely.
