There are so many default replacements and mods to increase the graphics for TS2 as well. It's a beautiful game with a bit of tweaking.

Well, I don't know how, and I think I'm the only one who sees it this way. But still, at least to me, that game looks somehow like a very early, experimental beta version of The Sims 4 with those graphics.

As a kid i played rhe sims 2 on the lowest setting bc our computer wasn't the best. Then we got an upgrade and i spent 30 minutes just... looking at things! I was amazed at for example that one sexy silky nightgown having lace instead of just smudges lol

⁠@@DJCandyPlaysthis is a 32 bit game. You will have no difference at all between having 8gb of memory and 32gb of memory. Im a software engineer and pc builder. So believe me. The game can only reconize up to 4gb of memory. In practice however it will not be able to use the whole 4gb. Having more than 4gb available is helpful since it allows your operating system and other softwares to allocate memory while still letting the game using (nearly) 4gb but anything beyond will not make a difference. This is limited by how much memory a 32bit executable may reconize. A 64 bit program can reconize billions of times more ram however(but nobody on earth got a pc with that much) What this game will benefit from is single core IPS(operations per second) from your cpu and faster gpu. But mostly cpu single core IPS, since this is what this game needs the most. That said, a 32 bit program will crash before reaching 4gb of memory usage, no matter how good the hardware you have is, even if you got 128gb of memory, rtx 4090 and ryzen 7 9800x3d. Theres nothing your can do to solve it other than recompiling the game in 64 bit, which requires the proprietary source code of the game. That is the whole cause behind the dreaded error 12 in the sims 3, and it can only be fixed if the publishers release a 64 bit version as they are the only ones with the source code. A true shame. Sims 3 was released in 2009, a time when most new computers were 64 bit since quite a while. My first 64 bit desktop was in 2005. On release, the sims 3 were already obsolete due to that, but they refused to release it again in 64 bit. Ive been asked this many times too so i guess ill say it ahead of time: no, running a 32 bit program on a 64 bit capable machine with a 64 bit operating system cannot allow the program to use more memory than 4gb.
