Zac, your golf game is crazy good and it’s fun to watch. Ohio similar to Michigan has really good courses for the money, especially compared to South Carolina. South Carolina is loaded with crappy courses but you still play a premium, been extremely disappointed.

Bentgrass is a common cool-season grass type used on fairways and greens, especially in northern climates like Michigan. When discussing how bentgrass might affect the ball's launch, consider the following: Turf Interaction: The way the club interacts with the turf can have subtle effects on ball launch. If the bentgrass is well-maintained, it can provide a tight and consistent lie, which is ideal for clean contact. However, if the grass is allowed to grow a bit thicker, it might cause more interference with the clubface, potentially leading to a higher launch, especially with wedges or irons. Firmness of Ground: Bentgrass, especially on greens, tends to be mowed very short, creating a tight, firm surface. When hitting off firm turf, the ball might have a more consistent launch angle because there's less interference from longer grass blades. But the launch angle may not necessarily be higher. Moisture Levels: Morning dew or recent watering can make bentgrass (or any grass) wet, which can affect the friction between the ball and the clubface. This could change the spin and potentially the launch of the ball. Player Perception and Swing Adjustment: Sometimes, the look and feel of different grass types might subconsciously lead players to adjust their swings. If a player perceives that they need to "help" the ball into the air because of the grass or lie, they might unknowingly change their angle of attack, resulting in a higher launch. In summary, while bentgrass itself doesn't inherently cause a ball to launch higher, the conditions of the bentgrass (length, moisture, firmness) and a golfer's interaction with it could lead to variations in launch angle. It's also essential to consider other factors at play, like the club used, the golfer's technique, and the specific conditions on any given day.

Not an expert, but i would guess that bent grass has a root system thats slightly easier to get through when you take a divot. which makes you hit the ball higher on the face, or roll up the face slightly producing a higher flight. Love watching people struggle on michigan greens outside of 6 ft. It seems like compared to other states i've played michigan greens seem to have a ton more undulations making for a ton of sliders for short putts. Hope you get to play arcadia bluffs, course is good, but the views are where its at.

I have noticed higher launch angles the tighter and firmer the lie is. Raking Job Evaluation: "0" on rake job no way he got things level for next person. Raking is a motion of pulling back to fix tracks/divot and pushing forward to level to rest of sand around that area.

Saying "good ball" when this dude is clearly slicing the fuck out of the ball, calling out before the shot even reaches it's apex, thinning wedges, etc. I forgot why I stopped watching your videos but now I remember. Do better, Zac, you play better than the content you put out.
