Playing the Vanguard Emulator in 2024

I loved Vanguard! I play the emulator now and then. It had the most potential of all MMOs imo.

Woot, finally ya'll are at it again in Vanguard. What an unexpected and pleasant surprise! The music in this one is so good. I really have to say, Vanguard has aged really well. How do you feel switching back and forth between Pantheon and Vanguard @Draq?

It's pretty different. Vanguard is quest hubs. Pantheon has very few quests atm. Sorcerer is very unique and not really like a Pantheon wizard. It's fun though we ended up going 3 hours and it was all fun

I played it at launch and the emulator too. Played almost every class to around 25-35. Then I hit walls because the spell upgrades were just not there. Plus some class functions like grafting for necros, bard songs etc. were just not implemented yet. I hope it’s come along since I played a few years back. Maybe I’ll check it out again. Great game.

I’ve been logging in and off ever since the sunset (had been playing on and off about 5 years prior to that as well) and can’t believe it’s been over 10 years now. Going to try getting the client installed on my steam deck later today once some other steam games are done downloading. I’m doing this mainly for a personal achievement. VG in 2024 mobile, and then I will try my phones hotspot to log in while I’m out and about. It should all work in theory. I just have to figure out which lutrus and proton configuration works best.

Whats the state these days anyway, overall? Still only content for lvl 30?

@MaritimGamer Des knows more than me but mobs are getting tagged as types (orc,human,ect), almost all class skills and spells are in, lots and lots of zones and mobs in. The real issue is enemy spells and skills are not in. Every single mob is tank and spank.
