After watching 5 hours of this I came to the realisation that Connor doesn't look at what's on top when pairing fruit. If he sees a strawberry under a persimmon he places a strawberry on top of the persimmon. He'll put strawberries on top of cherries and then place another cherry on top of that and vice versa. Not really the best thing to do. It can work out if you can make a pair that frees up space but otherwise you just snooker yourself.

The fruits literally have different sizes for multiple reasons and that is one of them; being able to distinguish the fruits even though you are color blind.
