The T-35 is in my Top 10 list of most fun tanks to play in War Thunder. This big chungus sits at 1.3 BR with virtually no armour but it has THREE CANNONS and also TEN CREW MEMBERS!
Yes, you read that right... this absolute meme tank has 10 crew meaning that even if you take a hard hit, the chances of your tank getting knocked out are pretty slim. This is one of the best Meme Tanks in War Thunder hands down and I cannot recommend it enough.
Maybe you could try doing the same challenge as me? Who knows? It might be the best fun you've ever had in War Thunder!

The a game on r9blox called multi crew tank combat, it's pretty much what you are looking for except vr plus it is free

IL-2 Sturmovik: Battles of Stalingrad's expansion, IL-2 Sturmovik: Tank Crew - Clash at Prokhorovka has almost exactly what you're looking for. VR support, multiple players running different positions in the tank. I believe there are positions for gunner, commander and driver and in multiple Russian and German tanks. However, it's quite expensive with the base game costing $50 and the Tank Crew addition costing $80. But it's about as close to what you're looking for that actually exists that I'm aware exists. The base game goes on sale fairly often but I don't recall the Tank Crew DLC going on sale yet.

I almost wish you could set the turrets to automatic, like the AI gunners on planes. Imagine keeping control of the main turret, and the others are just going nuts on every target they see until you run out of ammo. In low-tier, that could actually be quite effective.

That would be interesting but I also think it's pretty legit as it is. You always have 2 guns able to attack at a time and with a little wiggling you can often get the 3rd gun into the play quickly and the bring back the other secondary turret as it reloads. So, I just don't know if that would truly be better. It would be interesting to see it tried and tested though!

Question then is would they be like plane gunners and miss anything and everything Or ship Ai gunners and obliterate you and your entire family from 8km away with near perfect accuracy

@@xbluedragon97x62 Plane gunners are very random too. Most of the time they genuinely suck. But sometimes they can just out right snipe enemies down. Especially once you get them trained up, they'll kill an enemy plane in seconds if the enemy doesn't constantly change course.

I think part of the reason the t-35 performs so much better than it should is because no matter what you face you will almost always have a least one gun to fire back with even if they do hit and penetrate you. It’s impossible to be killed by any other land vehicle with one hit because of the crew layout.

Yeah in a game like this where you control every gun and they're all in separate turrets, the enemy is effectively facing 3 tanks at one time. That's why it's so damn good in the game. Where in real life, it's a clusterf*ck of indecisiveness. One commander for 3 turrets is a recipe for disaster and the fact it's poorly armored would make much more a difference in reality because a slight penetration can totally disable a tank in real life. And this thing would have been a shot magnet with it's size. Add to the fact it must be awfully hot and uncomfortable in the thing and that nobody is likely doing the same thing, there are plenty of reasons these concepts died. It's like a hydra but every head is pulling in a different direction.

You know he isn't wrong xD This damn thing only does well in something like this game! It was a massive, under armored, under powered and unwieldy piece of scrap steel in real life. Super cool and an amazing piece of engineering but never fit for combat like most multi turret tanks. It does make a huge difference in a game like WT to have 3 capable guns in separate turrets. It's like facing 3 tanks at the same time so it really does make a massive difference in a game like this. But, as is often the case with things like this, it's a lot better on paper than in practice.

In low tier I’ll occasionally peak corners backward with a Stewart. Engine is better armor than the actual armor and if I don’t get shot I can pull forward faster than I could reverse.

As a new player, the Archer did my head in. It was so disorientating; I'd fall off ledges or get stuck everywhere.
