As I don't play Randoms and purely build for Clan Battles, after the basic 10 captain points, I always use Radio Location. For CBs, knowing where the nearest red is generally located is invaluable; you can ping a line out from your detection for your supporting cruisers to be aware of. Sometimes, you can sort of triangulate a more specific general location with a team mate. Once you use Radio Location, you end up using it on all DDs - whether recommended or not. I think I even have RL on the Ragner types... haha. Good video Andy!!!

I think the build should be based on your playstyle, so do what works for you

I play pretty much only ranked and radio detection is mandatory. If you come against an enemy dd without it it’s pretty much a guaranteed win. Trouble in gold is that everyone runs it almost without fail. Rudimentary radar that lasts the entire game, who doesn’t use that?

@@deaninchina01 its not if he has a brain, its very easy to understand where dds are, especially vs an opponent dd with rpf (his rpf tells you that you are the closest one to him) and if you have a mod to know when your teammates are spotted

Short range torps at T7 just don't work. Opportunities for attack runs close in are few.

Many ways to determine what's worst, this is just one. I found the Z-31 ok but it's not a ship I ever think "oh yeah I'll play that"

I am telling you there are hacks for this game for cv's, to see ships I have had cv's do the exact thing on a super stealthy Asashio, and they fly stright to me in the middle of nowhere, it is def a hack after watching this one
