Playing Tom DeLonge’s blink-182 1998 “Arnette” Gibson Les Paul

This is one of Tom’s actual Les Pauls he used with blink-182 in 1998. I was lucky enough to obtain this guitar and wanted to put up a video of my first time playing it! Be sure to check out the previous video for the story behind it.

It was so funny-firsts video I’m quite sure you’ll never play it, first video ends, and up next HE’S GOING TO PLAY IT. 😂 I love that you can actually play the way I’d expect you to though. Sometimes I see people that are supposed blink-inspired superfans that definitely disappoint by playing in this ultra-generic and boring way. We all start somewhere, but good on you 😄 I recently made a quasi replica TD Strat out of a Meteora just to be a little weird and different while still having his invader sound, and I’ve got a TD signature epiphone. I’m very pleased with that. Kind of slowed my search for guitars to have both of those areas covered as a guitarist and blink fan. I used to have a black TD Strat that I bought from a goth girl in high school that overheard me raving about Tom Delonge. She sold me it for $100. Years later it was yoinked from me by a turd sack I barely knew. Circle of life.

@@Richlucch Where did you hear that? From the sources I've read most say that he used a les paul for the distorted guitars and a tele for some if not most clean tones. If only Tom or Jerry finn published what they used exactly for that record... would love that

Idk for sure on tele but ive heard he used it for clean tones but theres no real way to know unless we asked tom. Cuz he probably used a bunch of different guitars on record id love to know too
