Im fascinated about that "difference tone" you talked about, that sounds amazing, Will you make a video about it?

I don't know before that such kind of playing with two recorders exists. It's very interesting to get a history lesson of recorder from you Sarah!

Hey Sarah, great video. As for a begginers method for adults, i'm from Argentina, and there's a method here called "Metodo completo para flauta dulce contralto" (complete method for alto recorder) by Mario A. Videla. It comes in two volumes. It's in spanish, though it doesn't have much on technique. What is great is that it has a lot of repertoire of simple works beggining with E D C and then adding one note at the time. i hope you find this useful. Bye!

Fantastic video Sarah! I'll have to check out the makers you mentioned. I assume a doulbe recorder by a maker doesn't have the tuning issues that 2 recorders might have.

I also would be very interested in a video on difference tones! In addition, I am curious about tongue techniques for two recorders? Playing legato is the easiest, but do you have any tips on tonguing one recorder while letting the other recorder continue on legato, like as a drone? I also would love to find that sheet music for double recorder that was on the Wood n Bone site that now seems defunct, alas, if anyone knows if that's still available somewhere!

nice. thanks a lot ! i wish i would know how to prep one of my two paired sopranos, so as to keep the usual division of left hand for higher notes (left hand left recorder) vs right hand for lower notes (right hand right recorder) muscle memory is less messed up in that case. (or not at all) _ but then it's not the same kind of tunes and harmonies.

SobokuMusic does that. two recorders, but with one preped. i would love some play alongs derived from that technique 😍

There is the little trick I saw from another master: you can close any extra hole of your second recorder by using plasticine or sticky tape.

thank you 😍 i am looking for a method that doesn't damage the recorder and i couldn't find any info. could you kindly direct me to the source ? did you by any chance find a video about this ??

sticky tape. is it enough ? it doesn't hurt to try... 😏 i am more confident about the kind of sticky tape i would put on my skin, that is very gentle but also thicker that the sticky tape for paper. 3M micropore. will come back i am to receive my two paired soprano recorders.

Ciao.
