Playing UNCHARTED 3 on PS3 :: Still Looking Good!

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - the final installment of Sony's blockbuster action adventure series on the PS3.
I never played them. So here's my first-time reaction to what it looks and feels like over 12 years after its release.
Chapters 1 & 2.
Uncharted 3 is rated T (for Teen) by the ESRB and MA15+ for New Zealand. My video is therefore NOT suitable for children as per the COPPA legislation.

I played through the Uncharted trilogy for my first time during the second lockdown in 2021. I remember finishing all of the first game in one day. I simply couldn't put it down after I realised I was already halfway through. Love the adventurous and swashbuckling tone of these games. Awesome video Britta!

I replay the trilogy on ps4 once covid hit and Sony gave us Only difference is being better optimize Really good experience Uncharted 3 had a good ending, 4 just expand it(another to give a try in case u didnt) Theres also Lost Legacy but i didnt enjoy it has much I like Chloe but Uncharted is Drake story not side characters

These games are badass. 2 was one of my first action games ever. Great to see it running so well on your ps3. The quote at the beginning is so incredibly inspiring, and I feel like this "dream" is the great strength of these new, educated generations, and this same "dream" is how stories like these, the video games that we love, are made possible. I really appreciate what you do! Keep it up!

This was one of the games that made me get a PS3 back in the day! I had never even played the previous games, so I guess the marketing was just really strong with this one. Looked like a really fun adventure from the outside, and I think it definitely delivers on that.

The Uncharted games are perfect "feel good" games so they are great choices for your recovery period (which i hope goes smoothly btw :) ).U3 is my least favourite of the first 3 games but it still is an amazing game!Love your commentary!

I enjoyed your foray into my favorite Uncharted game very much and hope you keep playing! I can't say if the controls get too complex though when the shooting begins. It's worth a try, at least! I'd love to see more, if you keep playing. Hope you recover fast of your dental surgery!

I'll keep going! My left hand is getting a bit dicey - but so far it's not hindered me too much. My biggest problem is with aiming, it just takes me a bit too long.

There is some aim assist, but I don't know how good it is - admittedly, it's been many years since I last played this myself! But if I remember right the combat is annoyingly grenade-based sometimes, and I find those hard to throw so I never used them... But maybe that's easier, I don't know! On easy difficulty at least it's hopefully doable for you. Good luck!

My father and i loved this game, was the second Playstation exclusive to have Spanish latam, and it helped a lot to him to enjoy the game, and more being a genre that both of us loved and an amazkng gaming nonetheless, fortunately when they oublished the Nathan Drake collection they dubbed Draks fortune and Among thieves, for him this was like a big adventure series without "big cuts", i enjoyed olaying it and he enjoyed watching while i played, plus he sometimes yelled like "punch it" and i tried to punch the enemy, "granade launcher", etc. An amazing game, interesting pacing, amazing characters, amazing music, some problems with the control at least on the ps3 version but still amazknf, it brings me really personal memories. ❤ :) *Amazing review, always interested on your view and opinions, no one in this platform can deliver videos like you miss Brita. ❤

This one is a pleasant surprise! I hope you enjoy this game!!! I also got to it late after receiving a PS3 from a friend when he got a PS4 about halfway into the console's lifespan. It's a good one, besides Uncharted: Golden Abyss on Vita, I'd never played a game like this before, I was more into platformers, RPGs etc but these games turned me on to the occasional shooter lol

thats what these games are. playable movies. nothing wrong with that. you play them mostly for the story.

I was a latecomer to the Uncharted series because they were mainly for consoles and I'm mostly a PC game player. I was lucky enough to find out about Uncharted and give the series a play. Great stories. I played the first Uncharted on PC using a PS1 emulator called 'Duckstation'. I used a PS3 controller which I had lying around and really got into the Nathan Drake story. I played the PS4 versions of Uncharted 2 and 3 on a PS5. I then played Uncharted 4 on the PC. I was thinking about what you said, in another video, about Xenoblade Chronicles X being locked on the Wii U because it was never made for any other platform. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned emulation Britta but it's another legitimate way to play games from one platform on another platform (usually PC). There is an emulator called Cemu which emulates Wii U games and can run Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Hi Jeremy, thank you for your feedback. Yes, we have discussed emulation extensively - both in the comments on my Xenoblade X video and also on the Community page. I am well aware of Cemu (also some of its problems). It's a solution for people who prefer playing on PC. However, for those who love playing on console, there are often other solutions as well (even hacking the Wii U!), such as the wizards at the Pretendo project providing the online Wii U services that haven now been shut down by Nintendo. There are always solutions 😎 and it's just a matter of each person finding the solution that suits them best.

I still play my games on their original hardware. Minus PS1 games, I play them on my PS3. I like to experience the original games as much as possible.

this game still looks incredible, all the little environmental details and the way light falls around the environment is incredible. the art direction just shines through so much better in these older games, when they can't go all the way with the realism due to the hardware

I also have the PS4 version and when I have a moment I will look at that for comparison. But at no point did I feel the PS3 game was somehow lacking.

The Uncharted games are basically the equivalent of catching a really good action movie on cable on a lazy afternoon. Don't gotta think to hard about it, look at all the stylish action, and enjoy yourself. For as loud and chaotic as they can be, I find them to be very comforting to play. Like watching one of those Mission Impossible movies. It's not gonna change my life, but there are worse ways to spend the day.

I 100% agree that Uncharted 3 on PS3 looks amazing even to this day. This reminds me how I think they should do an Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS5 and include Uncharted Golden Abyss this time around. I think it's odd that on the PS5 we have the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection (Uncharted 4 and Uncharted The Lost Legacy), but the original trilogy and _Golden Abyss_ still has not gotten a PS5 re-release.

@@Food4Dogs Its a little hard to see yes, although my memory is very vague that i think it was actually a newspaper on the table of the bar, the very corner, right next to a "Harris Brewery" matte, the article lining reads "struggle with cure/fungus". Not sure if it would be possible to even zoom in on it since theres no weapons in that section i believe but ite there.

I recommend playing Gravity Rush 1 and 2. Part one is a PS Vita game, but it is also on PS4 along with part two, they are games that are enjoyed with headphones for immersion.

@@Food4Dogs coming from hideo kojima games background I think that there are obvious ways to discourage violence or shift gameplay focus to a little bit more pacific way, its nothing new. But being a child of a shooting genre - the one with a long history since the dawn of videogames - the game appeals to a sertain audience, nothing wrong with that from marketing standpoint. I think the times change and we grow as a conscious society, that's why we percieve some aspects of past games differently. World events context doesn't help it too. Once more we all learn the hard way that there is nothing more precious than human life. Guess its only natural to accept the changes and accept the creations of the past for what they are. Its not the question of canceling, but me deciding here and now - can I pull the trigger? P.s.: I love your videos very much and had no intention to sound rude. If so, I sincerely apologize.
