I don't even know myself. I just play the game and learn on the go, and even now I'm still learning. Your goal is to always move your fingers quickly. You can't do more than one thing at a time, so you can alternate quickly between actions so fast that it looks like a continuous motion. My fingers seem to be everywhere at all times all at once, but they are not. I simply alternate between each action fast enough to make it nearly as effective as if I had multiple control surfaces like I would on a mouse and keyboard.

I have a couple of video clips where they show my finger taps on the screen, and you can see my right thumb is everywhere almost at the same time... Make your fingers faster and watch people play so you have an idea of what you're competing against and try to match or surpass them.

Using more fingers, if you're comfortable with it, helps too, as it increases the number of things you can do at the same time. But now you need to manage those too and create new muscle memory, which takes time to do.
