I had purchased a ride in the T-54 at Aquino 2022 and the driver was very generous with his time and knowledge. Having ridden in the T-54 you can feel how unrefined the driving controls are and how much the crew would be jostled around just in normal driving, nevermind trying to actually crew the tank while in combat and would have been very tiring. In comparison both the M60 and Chieftain were like riding in a cushy sedan.

@@oldesertguy9616 No, it really wasn't. It wasn't a liability, but it was definitely a POS compared to the latest and greatest at the time across each variant. By the time they got around to the A3 it was *almost* a modern tank, but it was still stuck with being too large, poor armour, and substandard survivability. Oddly, the *only* model that stood a chance of being world class at the time of introduction was the A2, which was completely under developed and ruined as a result.
