It’s a really good product and this is a nice list for spotlighting it. I’m really excited to see a run with Gloria, she’s so cool when you know the treacheries. I actually like that they did a number of cards cool for one archetype or character only, boxing gloves, voice of Ra, it helps to prevent power creep. My standout of the basic cards would either be crystal pendulum to compete with rosary (thematic win for witches) or basic lock picks for Rex to succeed by 2. Maybe in honor of the upgraded rosary, look at top possible upgrades for staple cards?

very nice list! I'm surprise no one picked the Necronomicon! :P it was the fastest card to get tabooed! ahah! and it's insanely strong if you have recursion! My Minh deck was impressive with this bad boy! ;)

This is not correct. Only Steps 3 and 4 will be skipped in an automatically successful; all others occur as normal. The current FAQ (V.1.8 October, 2020) even gives an example of an automatically-successful skill test expressly noting that "Cards may still be committed to the test". ("Automatically evade" as with Stray Cat/Cunning Distraction is its own weird thing that does actually skip the skill test entirely unlike "automatically succeed" things, and so doesn't allow skill cards.)

seriously, the cycle Arcane Studies (4) comes from is good (to the extent it exists at the present), but if you're considering Arcane Studies (4) in particular just play Recall the Future instead, because Lucky is better than Unexpected Courage
