For my investigator cards, I put them into those really thick and durable hard plastic case type sleeves, so it's next to impossible to shuffle them into my deck and I can write on the sleeve with a dry erase which is useful for many reasons.

For me, I store them with the box of the campaign with dividers. One side of the box is for the player cards and upgrade cards, and the other side is for encounter cards. The little space is for senerios for that campaign. The Card sleeves I use is Dragon Shields (Matte except the clear classic). Clear for double sided. Black for encounter cards. Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple, Red and White for the deck player in game. The order of the cards I do is: 0 level cards: Assets, Events, Skills, Basic Weaknesses. First Colors - Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple, Red and Natural. Then Cost and the last one is A-Z. Then higher level Cards, Same as level 0 cards but with points like: Assets 1 point 2 points and so on by colors, cost and A-Z, then Events and Skills same idea. Investigators (with their specials cards and weakness): by Colors and A-Z Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple, Red, Natural (White). Campaigns: by the order with Senerios Locations and Special Cards (For the senerio like Gathering - Lita Chantler) and then Encounter Cards (For the senerio like Gathering - Ghoul Priest) Encounter Cards: well I dont care the order by the symbol of them... But I do care that the same symbol together by order enemies and then treachery by A-Z. Love your channel guys thank you !

Personally I leave locations and agenda/act cards unsleeved because they rarely get handled significantly and almost never get shuffled and sleeve the encounter deck with gamegenic clear grey size since you need to shuffle them all the time. They're like 200 for $12, possibly $10 if you can find the value back versions and they have a good thickness to them and feel great shuffled vs peasant penny sleeves. Makes it easy to tell what needs shuffling and what just needs to be just spread out on the table and that's it

All my cards are sleeved: Legion Standard Card Game, Board Game Sleeves 50 pack 67mm x 92mm clear sleeves. Cheap and easily replicable (not that they really need to be if you aren't treating them like garbage). Cheap cardboard boxes for 400 cards. I bought them in bulk, so I have 1 box for each color with text written on the box (guardian, seeker, etc.) so I know what cards are within. The boxes look like that in 6:10 bottom right pic of video. All level 0 are put into the right side of the box facing left. The rest are sorted by level put on the right side facing right. This is so I can easily get all the cards I seek easily. With the multi-class cards I do the same trick but place them to the right of the neutral cards as both of these don't have that many cards to them. The investigators along with the cards specific to their deck are placed by color in stacks into the main box. I should note the insert was turned up-side-down so there's space on left, right and under the bump in the middle. There's adequate space for 2 stacks of investigators (plus their cards) on one side of the cardboard insert so that in between I can place tokens in baggies. On the other side I have stacked the basic weaknesses, and cards that don't go into decks except under specific instruction (like certain bonded cards and weaknesses), along with the Bless and Curse Tokens and space of baggies for any other tokens. The space under the bump of the insert is reserved for all of the other chaos tokens. Should mention my chaos tokens are put into Lighthouse Coin Capsules - Round 25mm. For the scenario cards specific to the scenario (eg. Extracurricular Activity, The Gathering, etc.) go into the Return To boxes in order. with a divider for all the Return To scenario cards as well. The rest go into those cheap cardboard boxes with the provided card dividers in alphabetical order so as to be able to quickly find the cards when needed. That's a bit of extra money spent on organizing and protecting the game components, but if you value the stuff you buy, and/or don't have the money to just throw at replacements, and/or the patience to wait for restocks, it is well worth it.

I just use boxes to store the player cards just like you guys do for encounter cards(with dividers of course on levels etc of course…) I see quite a number of people using binders but I think while that is a good way to see all the cards…it’s actually quite time consuming each time to build a new deck pulling 30/60 cards out to form a deck…especially when you even have multiple binders… For tcg we do use binders but the reason for that is because there are high rarity cards that need protection that would probably never go into a deck

I put all my tokens in a smaller Plano box and cut one of the dividers to accommodate the hinge. I printed divider PDFs from BGG on cardstock. Let me first say, I love this channel and you guys are the most informative and entertaining for Arkham. Really enjoy your videos. I have a question on the size of the binders you guys are using for your player cards. Also, how may pages can the binder that size hold? I was sleeving all my cards but I have to agree this is a better approach. I was storing the cards originally in the core boxes with a 3D print box insert with adjustable dividers that I found on Thingiverse. I then outgrew that and make my own 3D printed insert for the Hobby lobby cases. But in the end those cards sleeves would be best served for my other board games. Thanks was very informative.

Personally: I sleeve everything encounter-related in penny sleeves, they're cheap sleeves where you get 100 for a buck. They're a bit flimsy but since they're really cheap, I don't mind having to replace the occasional one that wears out. Though, granted, I've rarely had to replace one. Even the investigator cards from encounter sets get sleeved in those. If I need to put them in a player deck, I take them out of the penny sleeve and put them in a sleeve I use for that investigator's deck. The empty sleeve goes back in the box as a reminder for myself that something should go there. Investigator cards are stored unsleeved in Magic fatpacks sorted alphabetically and grouped with lvl 0s and lvl 1-5s. I rarely look at the cards because we use ArkhamDB for everything. Having the cards sorted this way means I can quickly pull them out when I need them. I used to use binders but found that sorting them was a pain in the butt, so I went with boxes instead. I sleeve my investigator cards in Dragon Shields. I recently bought Dragon Shield packs of 100 sleeves in each of the investigator so I can sleeve each investigator's deck in sleeves of the appropriate colour. This is just something we decided was funny. Finally, encounter sets are stored the same way you guys do. If they have a Return To box, they go in there. If they don't have a Return To box, they go in MTG fat packs.

I'm really torn on the Return To boxes. I started with two 800 boxes like the ones you mentioned for scenario cards, and one of those easily fits two full cycles and the Core encounter cards, and even a little bit more e.g. standalones, sleeves (I keep the Core encounter cards sleeved but only sleeve the cycles when I play with them). The Return To boxes look great and the dividers are cool, but I actually kind of feel they're more trouble than they're worth? It seems like such a bulky way to store everything when those BCW style boxes fit two cycles and more so nicely. One cycle only takes up like half of the Return To box, so what do you guys do with the extra space? (I think that was only touched on briefly with regards to Travis' RtNotZ box, what about the rest?) (I also store my player cards in binders, I assume the intention for Return To boxes may have been for people to keep some player cards in there too)
@blinxy5113 жыл бұрын
Apart from being pretty, I like the return to boxes because I have room for my chaos tokens/bag, the extra tokens, as well as any decks I'm playing for that campaign. If I needed to, I think I could probably find room for the dice/tokens I need to play in them as well. I believe I also mentioned that I keep the newest cycle in the RttNotZ box until it's finished releasing.
@ChainedDreamer3 жыл бұрын
I like your storage solutions! Travis, just know I feel your backpack pain xD The worst part is that I'm the only one with cards, so when it comes to deck building I have to bring ALL the player cards, because the people I play with are incapable of online deck building x.x My own setup: I have a Cthulhu green wooden suitcase with a rusted metal chthulu head on it for my player cards. Sorting is, of course, by class. Then divided by level zero and otherwise, which the other levels in ascending order. Level zero and other cards are divided into assets (items, weapons, allies, skills&rituals, spells int that order), events and skills. After level comes cost, and same level/cost is ordered by release date. Campaigns are sorted in their return to boxes, and for those that don't have one yet and stand alones in the same cardboard boxes you do. All my cards, player and scenario, are sleeved in clear perfect sized sleeves, so you can still look at the card backs. That does mean I have to be a little more careful while shuffeling, but I'm doing that anyway so it's not that big of a problem. Liquids of any kind are not allowed near my cards. My scenario sheets I store the same way you do.

Diana may have a big deck but she draws a lot, right ? I haven't played her yet but as soon as Return to TCU is out I think I'll play her a lot ! I dislike Jenny because having no low skill means she has no high skill. I may play her a bit once I have the Return to TCU thanks to Well connected (3). I'm not fan of Joe Diamond: I think his hunch deck is best at 3/4 players and I very rarely play this configuration. For Mandy Thompson, in one hand I really enjoy her play-style but in the other there is a huge balance issue: if you don't use the taboo list she feels WAY overpowered, and if you do you it feels like the taboo list as been designed specifically to forbid you to play the cards the best suited for your deck ... I LOVE Tony Morgan ! I have played him a lot as the single fighter in my duos for TCU in "rich rogue" decks focused on firearms (with the Mauser) and I found him both powerful and fun to play. Skids ... I need to try him once with Ornate bow and Venturer but overall, each time I consider one aspect of him I thinks "well ... investigator A is better in this role". "When you play Jacqueline solo you don't lose". It's the first investigator I player in expert mode and it was fun. And still difficult enough. My own list (in no specific order): - Joe Diamond - Zoey Samaras (and most of the Dunwich investigators because of their deck rules) - Jenny Barnes - Rita Young - Skids O'Toole
