Kaldra is a trigger NOT a replacement effect. So the damage happens then, if the creature is still alive, it would be exiled. Also means that a creature that dies to the damage stays in the graveyard.

As a couple of other posts mentioned, Kaldra Compleat's banish is triggered, the easy way to tell if an ability is triggered is written in the comprehensive rules: 603.1 Triggered abilities have a trigger condition and an effect. They are written as “[When/Whenever/At] [trigger condition or event], [effect]. [Instructions (if any).]” If an ability begins with the words "when", "whenever", or "at" it is triggered.

The creature actually needs to be alive as Kaldra Compleat's damage trigger resolves, so if it takes lethal damage, it dies before it can be exiled. Also, Zach could've sacrificed the Ravager to itself if it survived.

Couldn't Zach not just have won Game 1 after the attack at 6:50? Just let the 11/11 Ravager take the first strike damage from Kaldra, in response to the Equipment trigger sacrifice the ravager to itself, put the counters on Inkmoth Nexus after it got animated (since it's an artifact creature then), animate it again next turn and kill Zack via infect since his creatures are tapped out then?

7:16 why didn't he activate Arcbound Ravager's ability after declaring it as a blocker to sac itself and then use the modular ability to pass the counters over?

when zabaz and hangar back die at same time, can you stack triggers to get the tokens first and then put the modular on the tokens?

Und the scenario with kaldra even tho kaldra is a triggered ability revengeful could have sacrificed himself to his own ability to leave with even more counters on the nexus

As respectfully as possible, what was that keep? Saga, plains, ink, x2 drum, ornithopter, giver? That hand can't win. Granted, dude had a nutty opening, but there was no plan to win that game.

Zach choosing to blow up his whole board in game 3 rather than just boseiju on the hammer seemed wild to me. Am I missing something? Also, no reason to kill the sentinel when he did in game 4. If he waited, the ballista was another attacker the ornithopters couldn't survive. Zach also missed a couple free attacks with construct and ballista game 4.

Putting Lore counters on Saga isn't a triggered ability, Puresteel's metalcraft is static not activated

If you're referring to at 19:54, that is a legal action and the Hammer player cannot tap it for mana. Putting a counter on it isn't triggered, but the chapter ability that follows is a triggered ability that goes onto the stack and can be responded to. Having an untapped Wasteland on your field, for example, makes anyone playing an Urza's Saga as their land for turn useless.
