Chord can be countered due to the fact that zach casts a dress down, making all creatures lose all abilities

5:55 Lightning Greaves couldnt be equipped bc of the Collector Ouphe on the board Minor mistake so its fine. Still a great game EDIT: Looks like they also noticed at 7:50 Never forget: Magic is a difficult game, especially when you need to worry about Stax pieces

I think this game does a good job of illustrating that playing *into* stax is very hard, and toolbox decks often draw a lot of fear from the rest of the table. The overloaded Damn cleared a wide opening for Travis to attempt the win and the card advantage available up until then facilitated all the needed answers to push through. Congrats Travis!
@maximeyer3151
@maximeyer3151 Жыл бұрын
So true. I have a Captain Sisay Deck and something like that, happens all the time. People don't think enough about removing stax pieces... They overreact a lot, remove Sisay over Winota/Seedborn Muse/Consecrated Sphinx/Najeela etc. or any stax pieces, without having the chance of winning in the same Turn, nor having enough answers. Most of the time they just hand the game over to the next player in turn order.

It’s so funny how important it was for players 2 and 3 to need to feed the fish. Totally agree it was worth it. Jay has fantastic basics for his Yisan deck. If there was ever any question about the power of Rhystic study, this is an absolute essay in why it’s worth it. Lightning bolt. Cedh staple 😂. Polymorph Roger is very cool. Good games.

because you dont need to attack someone over a spell they cast, especially when they are behind, take out the player that has the most chances of winning next turn(which in fact he did)

Comments: 1. It’s pretty rare to see a blue farm player lose when they draw that many cards 2. I’m not a Kinnan player, and I’ve lost to it many times. Seems like a sus keep. No T1 play, no card draw, no interaction. I’d ship it and go to 5

They needed (or wanted) the Devotion for Nykthos and didn’t anticipate a win attempt that quickly. I play like I’m on the verge of losing at all times and I think more players of Low Color Decks should practice doing the same.

lol Travis, why bounce the Craterhoof? that is super risky, he could have bounced any other creature to save himself since all had the same power, bouncing the craterhoof means he can just recast it the next turn.
