For clarity, at 5:54 we mention only have one type of augment per bench. Benches often allow for multiple augments, but they must be unique augments for the effects to work. If you have the same augment multiple times, the effects of those duplicates will not stack. But if you have more tips to share with others, share them in the comments!

Why was the variety of augments significantly reduced in the update? Axes no longer have one and many overlap providing only a cosmetic difference

I think this game is on track to be one of the coolest, best looking, most intriguing options out there. I've had my eyes on it since the announcement and love the concept, but the launch wasn't what I expected and I had some negative thoughts about it. Great work on the improvements! I really want this to be a beyond excellent game.

been getting burnt out from open world survival/crafting games...reluctantly tried this when it was 40% off. Turned out to be a great decision. out of all the recent crafting/survival games, this one has been my favorite. Love the worlds, so beautiful...and i love that its a collection of smaller worlds. I get overwhelmed with massive maps that take forever to get to where you need to go. The style and atmosphere is fresh and fun. Combat is also well implemented. Would love to see some improvements on the building side of things. Some more freedom to make crazy builds, also the ability to make bridges, and connecting buildings across gaps would be nice.

Picking up all items at once is a lifesaver! It helps especially when you are chasing wisps for essence.

You can also shoot explosive marbles at the wisps to take out more than one at a time instead of chasing

Wasn't thrilled about starting over after 350 hours invested, but WOW, it turned out to be worth it in the end. Flows much better, the storyline is miles better, the Mystic weapon skins and Regency tileset look amazing. Having T4 stuff in The Watch gives a longer term goal for gathering resources. Sentinel set looks really good and suits my pistol/knife build nicely. Good job so far, everything except the prices on vendor items (food/potion/resources) is awesome.

@@ph0enixph0enix65 You CAN play your old save but it'll be offline and it will never get any updates, pretty much a Void realm.

@@ph0enixph0enix65 Yeap, you have to start again. I think you can still use your old character in offline mode but you wont get any benefits of new updates etc... Its a bit of a drag but so much has changed its worth it. They hope they wont have to do it again but the changes were so big they didnt have a choice. Also yes achievements are reset but i think some progress towards completing them is still there as before i started the update steam was showing progress towards some of the achievements.

They could have migrated your char and choose the easy way instead. You can bet that they will do it again. There will always be fans telling you "every game does it" and name some obscure game from 10 years ago to prove their lies.

The best tip. The main tip. Just the tip. "Explore everything. Experiment with everything. If you don't know what to do next, your journal will help. If you don't know where to find this or that food item (potatoes for instance), explore until you find them, and keep exploring as you play so you find things that other people may not even know about, whether in game mechanics, loot, great views or story elements. If you aren't looking at your map's POIs to see what they are every now and then you can easily miss quest locations. If you put in the effort people will be happy to help when you just can't get it." In this game you are a "realmwalker." You are an explorer, an adventurer, a hunter, a builder, a midnight toker...ahem. The idea is that you escaped The Calamity and are trying to survive as you find your way to the City of Magick, Nightingale. If you aren't at least putting in some effort then you're missing the point, both of the story and the genre. Be creative in how you approach things and you very well may learn something nobody new before. But if you don't put in much effort it will show in your community engagement, and that can make people lose patience. Something missed that's important is gear score. Your tools are level 20 at the lowest, so you can only harvest basic stuff. You need 25 on your equipped tool to harvest higher level ores, trees and plant fibres, but how do you increase your gear score? 1) build a higher level tool, unlocked from the progression menus (simple is lowest) 2) add an enchantment/spell to your tool; higher level tools (simple > refined > rugged etc) can hold more spells, for a minimum of 1 and a max of 3; spell tier/level doesn't matter 3) add an infusion to your tool; higher tier infusions give you higher gear score, but you are limited to 1 infusion per item (you can overwrite infusions, do don't panick if you misclick) 4) use higher tier materials; the GS is based off of the highest tier material, even if all other materials are lower tier Charms do not increase your gear score. As far as how much each thing increases your GS... T1 Infusion: +6 T2 Infusion: +12 T3 Infusion: +20 T4 Infusion: you can't make them (yet), so don't rely on it. Also haven't tested Spells: +6 each, +2 extra if you have 3 spells (total +20) The maximum you can increase with these things is +40, but keep in mind what you have available. Material bonuses will increase the base level of the tool, but the variety of bonuses (untested since RR release) is too large to reasonably list; some have low bonus, some high, even between materials of the same tier. Your total gear score (top right of inventory window, next to health/stamina) is not important. It used to be important before RR because progress was locked until you met thresholds, but now it's just an indicator of "about" where your gear is. 50 is respectable by the time you get to The Watch, where before RR most were around 100. Focus on building a gear set that fits your play style rather than what will get you the highest score. 5:54 That's actually wrong. The workbench showed 2 types: magick and berserker. What is likely meant is that each augment type can apply one of each tier, meaning that if you have two Simple Magick augments you will only benefit from one, but if you have a Simple Magick and a Refined Magick you will get both. For refining stations like smelters it only takes the highest tier bonus for yield, though the refinement time reduction is cumulative (Excellent Smelter is currently bugged so that if you have a simple + refined you get the yield of simple, so only use the refined).

@@tk20channel XD yes then. I’m in the same boat with the game absolute addiction since buying it. Played in the closed beta a bit, was a lot I hated and it’s changed since then. Was incredibly disappointed at release from the reviews they continued with bad decisions, so didn’t touch it. Checked back in with this update and saw a huge approval upswing and decided to get it then and love it so much.

@sabotagethefool Nice...I happened to not even know about it until after this update, so I lucked out in that respect. Just got to the 2nd realm, playing on champion difficulty, and boy is this fun! The game is beautiful looking, combat feels good overal, enjoying base building and story seems cool. I love this idea of realms and cards to play and upgrading feels important and it's fun starting to make guns now!

Thanks for providing info on the realms update. Hard to find info everything being so new, but that's part of the fun! Held out on this game until the big qol patch and I'm so glad I did. Crafting/survival games are in a great place right now

I would request a magic rework. Having a single spell applied to a weapon makes it a fairly fumbling experience to navigate through your weapons to find your desired spell. Perhaps with the spells applied to the tools, you could have a magic wheel and a button for the chosen magic, like the food wheel. In a fight it doesn't feel user-friendly having to switch from your offensive weapon to something different to access a healing spell. An emphasis on building all enhancement structures first would also be nice. I think I crafted the same piece of crude gear 2-3 times as I figured out just how much early game bonus stats help you out. Be it health, weight, regen of any kind or a little extra damage. It just felt weird crafting the exact same gear, yet again, just because I later figured out how important placing down 2 easy to craft structures next to my main crafting structures. It was shown in the video but quickly skipped over. Other than that, I'm really liking the new version of Nightingale. You did a great job.

I found out recently that T2 tools/weapons have 2 magic slots. So you could have you favorite weapon decked out with two spells.

I enjoyed playing this game when it first launched at early access, but after the last update I really loved it... Can't wait to see, what else you are going to add until full release. Keep up the good job.👍👍👍

i recently purchased this on sale. I was one of those people that played Palword instead, was hooked and played it alot, got it out of my system and i was just done with it, have not played it since. Then i played Enshrouded, enjoyed it and moved on. This game however is more enjoyable than both combined and is the most stunningly beautiful game I have ever played. I find myself just walking or Umbrellaing around with the hud off for like 30 minutes, everywhere i look its like a beautiful painting. The combat feels great aswell, the animations of the character do need alot of work though, especially in third person. I play on controller, your layout just plain sucks. i completely fixed it with the controller settings in steam though, which I enjoyed tinkering with. I dont think most people know they can do that though and even less know how. Most notable changes were toggling the hud and pov with the start button, press and hold button, in that order. Changing sensitivity when aiming, that is obviously on the way, and is required. And I hotkeyed all of the tools with a shift key. the radial menu using the dpad felt so bad, especially mid combat. But yeah, this game is honestly GOTY for me. I was considering Space Marines, but ultimately there is very little replayability. I have Ragnarok waiting for me, but I cant put this game down. I feel sedated and hypnotized with this game, lulled even. Anyway, bravo! But I will send some more thorough feedback privately, soonish, Thanks for the game.

Just started the game, its so beautiful and unique. Ive always wanted a Faewilds game after playing DnD. Im trying to wrap my head around the magic - is there any chance of adding things like a magical blink/teleport type mechanic in the future? Like maybe a "Fae Step" trait to add to boots that alter your dodge if you hold it?

I use build chests as resource dumps for old materials that are out of date. Also, will we get treants or things like that would be nice and be thematic to have corrupted ones in bound corrupted realms. That and special timbers would be really neat. Yes i want more mayerials as its a giddy game for me.

Was the right-click secondary ability always present for the scythe and climbing picks? Were they there before Realms Rebuilt? I didn't know about them until I was about 80 hours into the game.

Great video, but I was hoping you would explain the realm cards more in depth. I have been playing for over 10 hours and I am still in the first area. I don't quite get the realm cards yet and how to use them???

You can unlock new realm cards by clearing Sites of Power, you can find one of those at each map. Then with your newly aquired realm card, head to The Crossways ( you can get there by opening your map and clicking the button that says " Return to The Crossways" ) and use that card at the portal which has a glowing sign in front it.

I wish the missions showed you exactly where to go on the map. Sometimes I wonder around for hours and still can't find where to go. Still an amazing game! I'm 30 hours in and just made it to the 3rd map. How many maps are there???

I love this game, but there's an error hard to report with steam. When you get timed out of online mode -- you can't resign back in. It's stuck running in the background, steam can't close it it's stuck on STOP and I have to reset my computer. I'm going to assume this has something to do with AMD or a Steam error, but in regards to the game itself. Holy grail. Amazing. If this is just the foundation I can't wait for you to beat Skyrim someday with what's to come!

How is the fable Carnut drop? I kill around 20 Carnuts in Lvl 100 Ascendent Hunt Forest and I get only 4 fable hide T4, there is another way?

I wanted to give this game second chance, but when directly on the first location I got for free axe, hatchet, knife, them came to the village and in one click recruited NPC, without any story and questions, i dropped. You really did not get it. Valheim for excample still have 20k players.
