Zac Taylor, despite his numerous flaws, is 5-2 in the postseason. Tomlin has its playoff wins and SB title in 2008 as well as 2010 which led to another SB appearances, but nothing since, including now six consecutive one-and-done playoff appearances. Time for a change, Pittsburgh.

Not a Steelers fan at all, but Tomlin seems to get more out of his players than most coaches. They don't have great talent, they don't get top draft picks because they are always in the playoffs. All this talk about WRs this season people forget what the real issue apart from the O Line is. The mediocre RB situation. If Steelers dont want to tank next season, best avenue would be to trade for Jonathan Taylor, a 2nd and a 3rd would get it done, sign Tee Higgins in FA. Cut Dan Moore Jr, Najee, Wilson. resign Warren, Fields and with whatever cap is left address the secondary. Lastly, and most importantly, fire fking Tomlin

Problem is Tomlin does a good job, not a great job. When you have a franchise QB that can get you some playoff wins. Without a franchise QB, you end up picking 20th each year so it is much harder to get a franchise QB or even get elite bluechip talent at other positions and y ou end up in an endless cycle of being competitive but not good. They should consider trying to trade their first round pick and maybe a fourth round pick for JJ McCarthy. Its the lack of the QB and young bluechip talent and that is because they never have top 10 picks.

@@steelphantom9105 Too low or too high. I was hearing first rounder from like the Jets at #7 or the Saints at #9 for JJ McCarthy. Given the Steelers first rounder is at 20 I figured it would cost them extra, either a 3rd or 4th rounder. It so difficult to guess compensation in trades, but a lot of teams likely had McCarthy graded as a better prospect than any QB's in this draft so I definitely think it would take a first rounder. This is all contingent on Minnesota's willingness to trade McCarthy which is not a given.

I think it all may be moot though because with the way the season ended the past two weeks for the Vikings I think their plans may have shifted and they may move on from Sam Darnold and hand the reigns to McCarthy meaning he is not on the trade block.
