Also on Dooku's 1 pip card. since his lightning is doesnt have the melee icon. he couldnt use it against anakin. he would have had to fire it against another unit that was at range 2. enjoyed the game non the less.. beautiful table.

Really fun narrative battle report! Glad to see some Legion on the channel. I'd definitely recommend taking another pass at the rule book before the next video as a lot has changed over the last year and a half and some of the keywords ya'll were using operate differently. Still a fun and entertaining video and I look forward to the next one!

Don’t know if anyone else mentioned this but the spider droid doesn’t have to reduce speed in difficult terrain. Not a huge deal but just a little thing I noticed. Great battle report as always!

That was a great battle! Thought Chris had it in the bag. As a separatist player I understand the pain of ai on spider droids. But order spreading/control is super important. Also quick fyi about the tank its main gun is range 2-4 while bunker buster shells and anti personal guns are range 1-2.

Great to see more Legion! There’s a lot of special rules, even experienced players will miss them. Such as Dooku’s Lightning not being able to be used in melee, it’s ranged only, even during his card turn. It was cooler the way you played it, and it’s how many players think it should work, but RAW it can’t be stacked with his saber.

The card gives his weapons the Versatile keyword, which allows a ranged weapon to be used when engaged. But it doesn’t change the range listed on the Lightning, which is only 1-2, and doesn’t include melee range. The last sentence of Versatile clarifies that if a weapon has both melee and ranged options it can be used to perform either kind of attack. Since Dooku’s lightning is only ranged, he can’t combine it with his melee saber attack. Although most players hate this, and the way you played it was much cooler and true to the character in my opinion.

But I think you guys need to relook over the rules and have legion quick guide open on phones, there are a lot of incorrect rules that mislead new players and made huge impacts on this game. Yep, definitely a lot of mistakes here, it took me out from enjoying the video to its fullest potential :( but I agree that it’s a good departure from the usual play nonetheless. Droidekas not leaving the wheel mode at the end of the Activision phase was the least painful omission of all, though, and unfortunately that’s saying something :(

@@PlayOnTabletop so it says he cannot be issued an order. It can be confusing but remember that the issue order phase is it’s own thing. That’s when the nominated commanders issue face up orders. Drawing a token from the order pool is not the same as being issued a token. So Anakins flaw card stops him from being issued a face up, even if he plays his own command card but does not stop him from having his token show up in the draw.

Amazing terrain and paint skills, sad to see that a couple key rules in the game would've kept Anakin alive like Djem So and others. Disembark is only one action so the ARC Troopers could've shot when they first disembarked. Definitely check out the comments and familiarize yourself with the suggestions. You also cant use Dookus lightning in melee... Would love to see this map again and more frequent Legion games! Love the energy

I think the flawed card was played incorrectly. I believe skywalker could have been pulled from his stack. Also I believe the arcs could have done a action after jumping out of the transport. I'm still new ish to the game so I'm not sure.

The table looks sick, one thing that could change the outcome a little is that I believe units that are engaged in a melee with another unit, so for example: Anakin and the droidekas, cannot be fired into by another unit. For example, clones can't fire at the droidekas. Also, because the droidekas are in melee with Anakin, they couldn't shoot him as they're weapon starts at range 1 and not with a melee icon. I don't play seperatist, so I am not sure if droidekas have a melee; I'm just assuming they don't.
