Yes!! he knows 15 words now and some non verbal cues like yes and no and pointing to things he wants which is a big step for him!! Thank you very much we are so blessed to have a room that works perfect for the kids play area :)

What a lovely room. I love the dotty walls and all the light ... oh it's so lovely and light. Draven will use that that desk for homework as he grows. It's a great idea rotating toys. It relieves boredom with the same old toys. I rotate my dogs toys 😂😂 Great to see you; it's been a while. Denver is so pleased he can do the ball drop and to hear him saying "hi" just melted my heart. Gorgeous, gorgeous boy ❤. I hope we hear from you again soon. Oh and happy birthday to Denver ❤🎉

Happy Birthday Denver!! 🎂🎈🎈🎈 You’re moving on to the ‘Terrible Twos’ but you’re far too sweet to pull that act on your mom and dad, aren’t you? (🤞🏼 I hope, my fingers are crossed!) Isabella, I’ve worked with young children since I was 16 (babysitting before then) and then continued working with them part time while going to university full time. After that, I taught elementary school until I retired 3 years ago. I say all this because I’m absolutely impressed with your knowledge of how to provide the best environment to help both of your children to succeed! As you say, provide them with fabulous opportunities to PLAY! Play is indeed their work. You totally understand the needs of young children. Oh what I wouldn’t give to have the opportunity to teach your two munchkins in one of the grades I taught. So many parents don’t have the understanding that you and your husband seem to have so easily incorporated into your children’s daily lives!! Your love and caring for Draven and Denver is so palpable! ❤❤ I was so glad to see your post tonight as I have thinking about your family. I just returned home from Calgary on Wednesday as my husband and I were out for a week to see our 2 daughters, one who is a teacher. She and I spent a lot of time discussing children and the best ways to engage them in learning. For the young ones, our discussion was all about giving them great opportunities with open-ended play. You are right on track! You mentioned reading a book on activities/play for children- how do you ever find the time with two boys! 😀❤

we are well! enjoying this summer as last summer was mostly all admissions, so we wanted to lean into good health and enjoy the time before the busy season comes! back on a schedule soon now that school is starting soon! ❤❤

it's been a waiting game for his heart just monitoring and hope for no big jumps in numbers 🤞 He's been great this summer and we have been really making the most of it. i hope this flu season doesn't get the best of us though 🙃

Yay, a new video! 😊 I realized after checking in last time that it was around Denver's birthday. Woohoo, the big two! 🎂 He's so good at using that ball drop, and sitting up so well! Magnitiles are awesome! Do you have a set of wood blocks, or a tools playset? Maybe Draven would enjoy that sort of thing for his construction imaginative play, too, and they could be easy for Denver to pick up as they tend to be light and about an inch wide/two inches long, depending on the shape. Anyway, your playroom is adorable, and both the boys are growing so much. Your husband did a fantastic job building that climber, too. I agree with you that play is everywhere, but it's always nice to give kids a dedicated space if you can.

I got rid of a set of blocks last summer and i'm kicking myself because I agree i think it would be a fun toy again for Denver & Draven! I'll be on the hunt now 🕵️ the ball drop is his favourite toy, he gets so proud it is lovely to see him play :) I do agree having a room that i can close and not worry about has been nice haha it was cleaned for the video but lets be real its not like that even now as i write this haha its just a nice dedicated area and we have the space so why not! @@isabellajoyy of course not! Kids are supposed to be messy! And wild! And even ornery sometimes.. They lead with their own opportunities for learning 🤣 There are some great clean up songs that work great to get kiddos active on cleaning up for themselves, although Draven seems like a helpful little guy who probably just gets stuff like that 🥹 But even that can be made into play, and Denver could put his fine motor skills to work with a basket nearby for smaller toys. I'm rambling.. Mess is part of the fun 😂 and same here! Don't be a stranger ❤️✨
