Mini Vlog | Zoo Trip & Keeping Busy | Pumbaa, Otters & A Haircut

When the weather is nice during the week, the zoo is our go-to! They recently expanded on their Canadian exhibit and added polar bears and otters :) The otters were the boy's favourite part of this trip - they were so interactive!! Having Denver's wheelchair made this a whole different experience for him, he was able to see so much more :) We planted seeds & gave Denver a haircut, but unfortunately, the audio didn't work... I hope regardless you enjoy it. We personally love these for ourselves to look back on :)

Denver is so happy! Sitting up and seeing everything in his new wheelchair. It puts him right at eye level with Dravin too, which is awesome! I love watching them exploring things together. And of course Pumba❤ As usual, giant hugs to you all!!❤😊

Loved the zoo, especially the otters and they seemed intrigued with Draven and Denver! Denver really seems to enjoy sitting in his wheelchair. He is able to participate in more activities with Draven, Mom and Dad. He is a big boy now! Thank you for sharing your family with us.

Just wanted to say you're an incredible mum. Denver wouldn't have florished like he has without your love, care, and determination. You always seem to be so upbeat and full of energy. You're an inspiration to us all. Being a mum is i feel the hardest job in the world. It's lovely to see Denver so happy and being able to interact more with Draven now that he has a new chair. I found when having a cleanout to pile things as you have done, then wait a week to reassess. Really helped me. Have a lovely rest of your week ☺️

Denver has a whole new world to see from his wheelchair, and it's easier for Draven to interact with him. Does Draven like to build snowmen? What does Denver think of the snow? It's just persistently wet and miserable in the UK right now. We are so ready for some warm, dry weather ... if it ever happens!

Yes, Draven does! spring is the best since the weather is warm enough and the snow is around still so we can be out long enough to build a good one :) Denver doesn't like outside very much in summer or winter, under a tree in summer with a blanket underneath him is probably his favourite! I'd have to see how he does this summer now that he is a bit older. we need this darn snow to go away soon 🤗 Hope for better weather for you and I soon ❤️

He does!! its a whole new world definitely!! hes sooo much stronger, when i watch old videos, it comes back to me just how small and frail he was, hes gaining and growing finally, no more tears from me worrying about it 💪💪 the boys are already getting into things together haha big brother will wheel the wheelchair around now, its actually really cute 🥹😅 I am OVER the snow, the weather will start warming up then the next day its over a foot more snow... haha i think we started inside too early this year :( oh i want a green house so bad!! we have the perfect spot for one, if this was our forever home I would more, but with my husbands work we have to move eventually :( let me know how your garden does this year, sounds like you can grow better things there, I want to do pumpkins but its hard in our zone!

It's like a whole new world opened up for Denver since he got his chair 😊 That otter was so intrigued by him, too 😂 I don't miss Alberta seeing all that snow... omg! We've had almost entirely spring weather this March here in Ontario. And Draven is a smart cookie knowing an hour is far away 😂

I tried to comment earlier but I don't see it! you have come leaps and bounds from your first video, as have both the boys! otters are such amazing creatures - so smart. they use stone tools to crack open mussels using a large flat rock as the "table" and a small, paw sized stone as the "hammer". some will have a favorite stone which they carry around with then for months or years, in a small pouch under their armpit! I wonder if the otter who was freaking out to get to Denver, might have seen some reflections in his tray? and wow real live PUMBAS! you are all looking so much happier and less stressed, so nice to see! 🐗🤍

One of many things I enjoy about your channel is seeing the language - and experience - rich life you provide for your boys! This is the family world that makes teachers do the dance of joy! It’s so much harder to provide on top of the time and energy intensive schedule of a child with complex needs, but believe me, it will pay off for the rest of their lives!

Awe thank you! We have a small one in our basement with one beta fish for the boys! We actually also have a reptile in a tank that my husband and the kids love! They enjoy it !! haha we do go to a pet store in the city with a huge aquarium also and you are right, they love !

Denver's little wave to the pumba!!! 🥲 those otters were dancing for Draven. I love that you guys have the wheelchair! Makes life so much easier on everyone! And snow! Bleck! We've been getting a ton of rain here in the maritimes!! We actually had a bad rain/windstorm there Saturday night!!! The most we've been getting for snow now is just flurries and maybe some hail! But I think our end is pretty much done with snow for this winter!!

Hi Colleen, yes he does! His feet and legs are his biggest struggle and we work hard in PT along with bracing to give him strength. With his hands he can do so much actually and even pick up heavier things, it’s the small things that give him the hardest time like picking up a cheerio for example ❤️

His condition is Neonatal Marfan Syndrome , the most aggressive & rarest form of Marfan syndrome which has severe heart issues from birth. He's had oxygen since birth and in summer he had his heart surgery. It causes him to have very long limbs & he will be very tall. It's a connective tissue disorder so virtually every part of his body is affected but his biggest struggle is heart and lungs

It’s indoor/ outdoor ! But it’s nice one day here then so much snow the next. Hoping my mid April the snow is gone for good
