I don't think that the BIOS can be corrupted, since it's ROM (Read-only memory), it only reads. To corrupt the BIOS, you need to flash the broken one.

Mi historia: en 2001 un niño de 11 años en Estados unidos queria jugar crash bandiccot en su Playstation 2 a la madrugada. A las 4 de la madrugada estaba jugando a su Playstation 2 tranquilamente y 40 minutos despues se tildo su sistema y reinicio su sistema y aparecio algunas atenciones que no puede iniciarse asi que los ignoro y luego se daño y decidio entrar al modo de recuperación y espero y su sistema hizo un super ruido y el niño se asusto mucho y su Playstation 2 se incendio y no habia agua en su casa y no tenia un extintor de incendios en su casa. Asi que le informo rápidamente a sus padres que salieran de su casa y 20 Minutos despues la casa exploto y el fuego hacia toda su casa. Y a las 8 de la mañana el fuego dejo de expandirse a. Su casa y 1 minuto despues lo castigaron y lo dejaron en la calle. Asi que el niño se quedo sin hogar para siempre 1 año después camino a la calle y termino atropellado por un auto Ford taunus Q.D.E.P Niño (1990-2002)

It's very unrealistic that the recovery mode is just not for actual recovery but for some sick jumpscare like why the hell would the creators of ps2 put this, kinda defeats the purpose of recovery mode cuz it never f**king works in any ps killscreens
