Playstation 3 Yellow Light of Death Repair

Hi I'm new to your channel I'm having the ylod aswell and my ps3 shuts off only when I play certain types of games like when I play BO2(shuts off when I try to play online or join a game.but let's me plays normally when after that happens sometimes.) crysis 3 shuts down my ps3 midway in to online or offline gaming. I'm really sure what to do? Can you help me out with some advice? (I love in South Africa)

I honestly couldn't tell ya. I don't know of many places that actually do this the proper way. Im located in the Midwest of the US

Hi, Thanks for your response. About 2 weeks ago I did a thermal paste replacement on my cecha01 and now it runs very quiet. Hopefully this will help prevent the ylod.

@@H4CkGAMiNG712 I like how at the end you said that this is another console that can be downgraded and jailbroken... lol that's why I cant lose mine!! I'm I'm on rebug 4.82 custom fw I love my ps3 and I want to fix it properly. I actually just bought this ps3 for 70 bucks from some dude off facebook... jailbroke it and installed custom firmware the first night 😁 Please let me know if you are willing to help me bro? Your the only person I trust with my s@#t.

You want a permanent fix it's called water cooling and it's super easy to do. I would suggest water Cooling to anybody who hasn't had the yellow light of death yet or has had the yellow light of death but has recently had their PS3 reballed. I would also suggest you buy a broken 60 GB off eBay which they are super cheap like less than 60 bucks take that apart test all of your water cooling equipment your Blocks Your loops so you don't fuck up on your good PS3.

It all depends on how bad it overheated the first time to be honest. I have my personal backwards model that has been going strong for over 4 years. But I have also seen them only last a few months.

Sorry for the late response,but yeah mostly depends on the amount of abuse. In my opinion, I feel like the only true way to get fix these consoles 100% is to the replace the faulty chip.I've seen people talk about how the problem is actually is inside the die of the chip,instead of the solder balls underneath the chip.But thats mostly for Rrod Xbox,it might be the same for ylod.
