If your talking about Dragon Age, the graphics for Dragin Age games have always been questionable compared to other games - it's never been something that Dragon Age has been praised for. Bioware is not about eye candy it's about deep lore and indpeth story telling - I'm not sure why you can't have both but Bioware never seemed to get grathics 'right'. I rather have good story over graphics EVERY TIME. Bioware for years has been WAY ahead of the game when it came to rich lore and detailed and engaging story telling - it was there thing. Unfortuantly Bioware has kind of dropped the ball in that regard in recent years... but I put that down more to EA sticking there ore in and fucking with Bioware.

It’s cause Herman Hulst is now the head of PS and before that he was the co-founder and head of Guerilla Games. So he’s making sure his former studio gets preferential treatment. Every single thing I see about DA Veilguard makes me hate it more. Like, the only thing I've seen from it that I like are the environments. They look good. But everything else I see just pisses me off. The character models for human-like characters have that weird looking fake texture. The enemy designs are WAY too cartoonish. The gameplay looks like it's trying to be a flashier version of Dragon's Dogma, but looks significantly worse. What we've seen of the writing gives me the impression it's gonna be filled with the same kind of writing we've seen from crap like Forspoken and the Saint's Row reboot. It just looks terrible on almost every level.

VR Games always look shit on a flat screen because their is no true 3d, sense of depth but the immersion and engagement with the game is of the charts because you are literally in the game world. I still remember my best friend laughing for 5 minutes straight getting his mind blown by just holding a gun in vr realising you can twist your hands like real life, shoot while looking in a different direction, can drop it, throw it etc I mean what would be better than controlling a dude fighting a dragon? Be the dude fighting the dragon. It’s not for everyone but once you got your vr legs you wish every game was developed as a hybrid like resident evil, no mans sky or gt7 because all of these games unfold their full potential, fun (or horror) and immersion in vr even though it looks goofy in a flat video.

I’ll get it because first game was so good, but…I’m a heavily left leaning moderate but even I would prefer to play as a guy. It helps me immerse myself into the character and world when I can relate better, can see myself in the character. I fully support female protagonists in games, and hope more and more games come out that have them. But after playing as Jin and falling in love with the first game, it upsetting that the second game isn’t Jin, and a bit upsetting it’s a woman. I love Control, Alan Wake 2, TLOU2, and Subnautica 2 (to name a few female protagonist games). But if I have a choice and preference it’s to play as a male protagonist. I don’t think this is a controversial feeling that should be shat on. I can imagine most women probably want to control a female character. Imagine your favorite female character changing to male then. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s a bit upsetting. ✌️

I liked FFX2 over FFX because I related to Yuna way for then Tidus, in fact one of my favorite Square franchises is Parasite eve, I prefer playing Ada Wong over sir crashes a lot in Resident Evil, I love to spam kicks with Chun-Li in street fighter, I can go on. I'm skeptical on Dynasty Warriors Origins. Apparently they removed a lot of fan favorite features like character creation, playing as other characters, multiplayer. It's a singleplayer game where you only play as 1 character and it's not a customizable character. It could be good, but a lot of fans seem skeptical about it as it's kind of repeating issues older entries fumbled through.

TBH you don't really need HQ graphics for VR games, the way VR effects your perception of things despite even the cartoonish of looking games or low poly models can be incredibly immersive. Like when the original NES came out, the next best thing to compare was what? the atari? sure VR sort of competes with first person type graphics, but they are not exactly 1:1 the same due to the difference in experience.

I think the worst thing that Sony can do is ignore the criticism. People are obviously tired of the woke games, and they seem to be very vocal about that, even in their own streams.
