One little detail you forgot about the PS2 controller is that it has analog face buttons. The cross square circle and triangle each have multiple actions depending on how hard you push them with certain games. It wasn't widely supported though so I understand if it was forgotten or omitted in this video.

So, I got both the DualShock 4 and DualShock 4 V2 and for those who wants to know the difference between the two, here it is : 1. There is a lightbar on the touchpad 2. All the buttons, triggers and analog sticks are grey instead of black, except the touchpad and the ps button. 3. The flat surface around the 4 action buttons and d-pad are now matte instead of gloss 4. The joysticks texture was changed and it have now a better grip, you will notice it when you use the new controller for the first time as it feels a bit spiky 5. The battery life is longer 6. The texture of the handles and back of the controller where changed
