"This is the PSONE, it was the smaller revision of the original Playstation" Thank you! I've alway hated it when people talk about the OG Playstation and call it the "PSONE", that is not correct, the little SlimLine redesign is tbe ONE
@jnevercast7 жыл бұрын
Even then, a lot of people actually are talking about the PSX when talking about OG Playstation.
@SkellerART7 жыл бұрын
Joshua Lloyd That is partially correct though as Playstation Games are always listed as "PSX" even back when Gamestop still had them.
@waterup3807 жыл бұрын
you are so right its a PlayStation not a psone
@ErikGPL7 жыл бұрын
PSX is still wrong when refering to the PS1, so Gamestop got it wrong as well. Same reason why we don't call the Gamecube 'Project Dolphin' anymore. It's also the official name of another Sony console, which is a digital recorder/PS2.
@sonicthehedgehog1fan7 жыл бұрын
If you wanna get more technical, PSX is like a fan adopted term for the PS1. There exists a redesign of the PS2 called the PSX, it was a DVR and a game console but it was a DVR 1st and a game console 2nd. It was not made by the Playstation division it was designed by one of Sony's media divisions

It's not so much the age of the system that's important here as it is the power of the Pi0, I mean some people complain that even the Pi3 has a bit of an issue with some PS1 games

Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive, I use it to fit heatsinks on everything that has no mounting points. Then no need to have ugly epoxy blobs anywhere.
@RatedeMods7 жыл бұрын
+som99 yes but I can safely remove the epoxy blobs ! (And I didn't want to buy thermal pads)
@50MGG7 жыл бұрын
You can remove the Artic thermal adhesive :) A bit of prying and it's off, a bit more work to remove the compound from the chip tho, but a bit patience and acetone and it's gone or just some easy sanding :) Yeah Thermal pads are junk (I do not support them for anything, way to bad thermal transfer properties)... Almost forgot to tell you that the build was really nice, so great work :)

A modest printer like COREXY that have drv8825 Drivers with 1/32 step divide and pitch 2 screw for Z that reach 0.05 or even less if needed layer height and 0.2mm nozzle can reach that freaky detail of a good print. But nice work man, it looks awesome.

I know it wouldn't be three dimensional, but since there were already water decals it might look pretty okay if the controller ports were just flat recessed areas with simple decals on them. @RatedeMods7 жыл бұрын

Never had the problems he said with his printer with mine. Soon as iI get a new extruder imma try something like this but i know itll be better detail then his fdm print, mine with the cheap extruder isnt even that bad and it isnt able to be dialed in bc its not consistent enough due to bad design and slipping Mine was a black widow but its a redone custom build of it with all better parts minus the extruder wich is coming soon.

I think it's not really about how high end the printers are, fdm printers have an accuracy limitation due to the technology and not the quality of the printer. A cheap SLA printer could print a really a high quality detailed model without being high end because the used technology is just better for high detail models.
@RatedeMods5 жыл бұрын
Cheap sla are really pricy still. Dlp can do the job but it's not as seamless of a result
@anothervoyager96545 жыл бұрын
@@RatedeMods True, but it's becoming a lot cheaper (the resin aswell), to the point it's closing the gap with the fdm ones. I still use FDM for convenience because I I want to have my printer in my desktop where I design. Resin smell, toxic fumes and chemical treatments make impossible to have it as an office desktop friendly printer, so I use a fdm with a 0,2mm nozzle, preserving more details in comparison to the standard 0,4mm. Another thing that I realized with SLA printers, is that you have almost always to put the model in an angle, making the resin waste in support materials sometimes bigger than the model itself, so a bottle of 500ml can go really quick even printing small models. Anyways, thanks for sharing your finishing work, it turned really good.
