Well i believe Sony usually plays catch-up to Nintendo because without Nintendo, Sony itself wouldn't EVEN BE in the gaming market! Because of Nintendo going with Phillips after dropping the ball with Sony and the Nintendo PlayStation that was to be a CD Addon for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System/Super Famicom! But even Phillips was let go after Nintendo was basically done with the idea of a CD addon! It was really crazy how short sighted Nintendo was, even IF they do something innovative, there's always a misstep on Nintendo's part once in a while!

A bit late, but by that logic, doesn't that count as the one-time Sony was ahead of Nintendo because of the whole CD thing, because without Sony, (and they had just stayed out of the console war after that breakup), we'd probably still have cartridges for home gaming if it wasn't for Sony, and I do mean HOME gaming, with systems that HAVE TO be hooked up to the TV, not a portable system that CAN BE hooked up to the TV like the Switch.

You need a PS5 to play on the Portal. The Vita is a standalone console with its own games.

The ds was better than this portal it is just disrespectful for Sony to even announce this, let alone go along with launching it...
