But yet IGN gave ps portal a better review rating over the steam deck 😂, this is why true gamers don’t take them serious

I imagine it's because of how well each device does what it intends to do. Also probably different reviewers

I just got the Portal, is very beautiful the design, but the connectivity is horrible, a lot of disconnection problems and that is everything when getting a handheld device. I’m going to return it and get the Steam deck 🙌🏽

Two different approaches to handhelds. Ppl have to stop comparing it ti gam8ng PC's when Sony told you its a accessory no more no less and it's literally priced as such. And to your point they have more then enough options for you to choose from for the local gaming experience so the portal shouldn't upset no one.

I cant believe people would even ask that question??? There's literally nothing to compare ... I love your content but I wouldn't even waste my time in making this video for the people who were asking this stupid question!!!!!

Also can’t forget the fact that the Portal doesn’t have Bluetooth, so if you want to use earbuds or headphones with it, you have to buy an accessory… for this accessory… that ranges from $199.99 (earbuds) to $149.99 (headphones). So, if you wanted to be able to play your Portal without disturbing anyone else nearby, that $199.00 price tag jumps to $350-$400ish. PASS!

You can also use any wired headset too, and if you're considering this device, then you probably already have those available.

I have a huge PS games library & I really enjoy the PS Portal for the convenience. The only game I had trouble with was NHL 24 online mode, beside that everything works fine so far. I'm still planning on getting the Steam Deck for my Steam games. For me they both have totally different purposes even though they both are for gaming , if that makes sense lol.
@igitaq10 ай бұрын
The Steam Deck has been my favorite gaming platform for a while. I am usually on the go and take mass transit so I have nearly an hour of premium time to play Baldur's Gate 3 or Cyberpunk 2077. When I am taking lunch I can play a match of Titanfall 2. That's enough for me right now. When I want a break from those, I can play Elden Ring, Mad Max, Limbo, or Skyrim. That's about a third of what I have installed out of 55 verified games I have in my library.

I own the portal and you need a good router depending on how many devices are connected which adds to the cost. But you can use it instead of ps5 controller so you save some cash
@BoJangles4210 ай бұрын
This was a waste of 2 minutes I’ll never get back. You should’ve compared how well the PS Portal performs in PS5 remote play vs how well the Steam Deck does the same since that is the only use case for the PS Portal.
@iganinja674210 ай бұрын
Good video. I dont own steam deck. But im on steam often. I own a ps portal. ps5 has no limits on the games, I can play anything on that console huge plus. However steam deck has a selecton of games that can be played if compatible, has limits. Heres the con for portal ps5 has to be on or on restmode. Its a mirror which sucks also. Its not a separate console. i havent had alot of issues on Lag, but ive noticed very minimal and then works it self out nothing major. I'm sure easy updates can fix in future. remember the portal is a wifi based. depending on what you have. gamers have great wifi. if you're more than casual. I didn't like that I couldnt play music while gaming on the portal as I would on console. Theres more, but thats why this influencer is here. Lets see what he comes up with on next video. Good topic

@bajszosjozsef48509 ай бұрын
@@iganinja6742 Childish tantrum? I just pointed out the inconsistency in your story. If you really owned a Deck, you'd know there is no sort of "selection of playable games" or "limitation" on what games you can play and what not. The "Great on Deck" category on Steam just means that everything was optimised and tested on the Deck, and it's 100% verified to be a good experience. But it doesn't mean that games that didn't make into that list are literally unplayable, lol... Released on Steam? Playable, 100%, as long as the Deck is capable to push out playable framerates. And I've yet to find an unplayable game. Even Mafia Definitive Edition has a solid 30 fps. Non-Steam games can also be played, albeit those require some tinkering. And you can also stream your PS5 with it. So yeah. You don't own a Deck, 10000%, otherwise you'd be well aware of these things. But have fun playing around with your over-glorified PS5 screen mirroring device, lol.

But my main games are diablo 4, destiny 2 and call of duty atm. Please help me out 😅 return the portal and get the deck…or just wait for updates that will fix the latency/stability on the portal
@SkywayPark219 ай бұрын
I think it just depends on the experience your looking for, portal has bigger screen but you have to stream games with the PlayStation and you have to be on wifi while steam deck is ready to go at all times. And you can do almost everything a pc can do. But the ultimate handheld is definitely the steam deck OLED. Just ordered mine today I haven't even used it yet but I am very excited

For me the portal is ideal. I already have a 200+ games library on playstation, and don't plan to buy the same games and more on steam. So when my son wants to play and I want to watch something on the tv, the portal is ideal.
@conchobar10 ай бұрын
The Logitech G Cloud is the better comparison. G Cloud is $100 more, but its compatible with nearly every game streaming service, and runs on android so you also get android game support and the ability to emulate games. Sounds like more than $100 of extra utility. Also the G Gloud has bluetooth support.
@sdmoore8910 ай бұрын
That's all good if you care about that stuff. If you just want to do remote play the portal is probably better because of the controller and screen

Yes and the steam deck is about the same as the g cloud and that plays pc games and emulates better!
