Another fun fact, the Playstation logo and the license text is from the game and not the console. In fact, the license text is different based on region and some homebrew games and pirate release groups would change that text. The Logo would also be changed by some pirate release groups as well.

The logo is an abbreviation of Playstation and is actually a static 3d image rendered on the hardware. This was done to show the power of the Playstation and as a test for the gpu. If the gpu fails the logo will not appear. However this error only appears if you have a mod chip that corrupts the gpu. This because the bios does a check of the system during the sony entertainments logo loading screen. If the bios detects a problem it will freeze at the sony logo screen or take you to the red screen.
