Huber As soon as you start feeling sick, take it off. Give yourself time to rest then and go back in. That's gonna be the only way you get your VR legs. Powering through is not a good idea.

Exactly! Worked for me. My first sessions weren't longer than 20 minutes and I had to stop. Then little by little it became easier. Now I can spend hours and hours without issues. Although still if the room I play in has a stuffy air or I'm abnormally tired I might feel a bit queasy

A lot of people don’t remember how they had to build up their tolerance for a lot of things. Back when Doom was new there were TONS of articles about how it mad people sick. The we collectively got over it. But it’s still considered a factor for why fps never took off on Asia.

Also make sure its properly adjusted for YOUR eyes, maybe using Brad's headset messed you up because it was setup for his height/eyes.

Pretty great impressions from a perspective of not a HUGE VR fan that has played every game under the sun. Its clear the headset is insane in terms of tech, so if it is the first time you get VR or you have only played PSVR1 the launch lineup is great (i mean i think its great for Horizon GT7 and RE8 alone, but still). I hope you guys do more content on PSVR2 moving forward!

This is barking up the wrong tree. ”AAA” means “high risk, mainstream games”. That’s not where VR shines and not where a developing technology is going to spend much of its time.

@@JazGalaxy I'd like to see things like what Resident Evil 7 was for the previous PSVR just to give an example, but many more entries, something that would feel like ''a full game''. I would not get this device if all the games in it feel like tech demos or mini-games. It would be crazy to buy this very expensive device to play a small bunch of minigames on it, thats what I meant to say XD

I just really wish Sony would make their peripherals and services synergize better with PC. There should be one unified account for all things PS available through both PC and consoles. No need to buy the games twice or fiddle with drivers for the hardware. PSVR2 sounds great, but if you are on both PC and PS5, it is less enticing.

*I intend to take DRAMAMINE about an hour or two before playing the PSVR2. This will prepare my inner ears to start getting used to the movements. When I was a Hospital Corpsman/medic in the Navy we pushed and encouraged the entire crew to take a Dramamine, or Meclizine, at least two hours BEFORE sailing out to sea. This medicine only works if you take it at the very least an hour before getting motion sickness, not after it's already started.*

Beware there is about 2 hours of nonsense before you really get going. A ton of videos and directions. May want to get it out of the way first. But I can see the other angle on that one.

What's up with that iris circle effect, or whatever it is, opening and closing in Horizon? I have PSVR but haven't used it since launch year and I don't remember that. Is it just a capture thing? Also, my place does not have a lot of room, but I was always able to play the 10 or so games I tried. Is this one more strict with room space? Looks great and much less of a pain, but I'm on the fence due to price and how little I used the 1st one.

It's called vignette/tunneling depending on the game. Most let you disable it but VR newcomers should stick with it initially

As I'm aging my vision is getting worse... I have to hold my phone out at arms length for text to not appear blurry. I'm worried that my glasses won't fit comfortably with the headset, despite reports of others claiming that they do. I already have a larger head than most. PSVR1 was so tight on my head that it gave me headaches. These are my only real concerns about the new headset. However I've already prebought mine as I'll just suffer with blurry vision if necessary.

Maybe you can get some of those special lenses made for you so you dont need to use glasses. I think they sit on top of the VR lenses. But from what ive seen the headset has a lot of variance in how you can adjust it so you most likely will be fine.

@@PageCrowes Feels like Xmas when I was a kid. I'm a 44yo man and the excitement is palpable. The only VR I've used is PSVR1 and despite knowing it was one of the worst (tech wise) I still thought it was amazing. Having proper controls and vastly improved visuals is going to be insane.

The way they talk about VR with things like asking whether you can look on rear view mirrors makes it sound like they haven’t played much VR at all, which is distressing considering they talk about ( and bash it) so much. You could look in your rear views and things in Driveclub. The demo came with PSVR. That kind of thing is what makes VR exceptional.

I really want to buy it, but here in Brazil it's practically the price of a new PS5. This gets worse due to our purchasing power. A PS5 in Brazil has a lot of taxes, it's like a console comes to my house and another goes to the government.
